Nice!! you have more powder and primers than Cabelas and sportsman's combined! -
6 1/2" wide? Sounds like a fisherman's ruler!

Agree with Tony on this! Law seems pretty clear to me, NO BAITING!!. I am sure there will be people who want to push the issue and will either find out the hard way, or come back with some solid case law.

What are you planning on shooting with a 175gr head?

Our Bighorn Sheep Slaughter Made Fox News

mmmmmm nachos and beer!!! Sounds like a great combo to me! -
It really depends on the quality of the mounts. Some high quality mounts can fetch 60-70% of their original cost. If they are older and not of the highest quality, it is simply what someone is willing to pay for them. I would think $1500 sounds a little low to me for all 6, but it really depends on the quality of the mount.

Zeiss Conquest or Bushnell Elite 6500????
HuntHarder replied to mmtx10's topic in Optics and tripods
Go to cameralandny.com and pick up a discontinued zeiss conquest. Great deals on remaining stock!!! Only con to the Zeiss is the lack of MOA adjustment for elevation on the 6.5-20. I suggest if you plan on shooting over 600 yards, picking up a 20 moa base as well. Even tho, you may never shoot at an animal that far, it is still good to practice farther than you will actually shoot. IMO Zeiss conquest scopes are by far the best bang for your buck scopes out there. They blow any bushnell or any Vortex, (minus the razor series) out of the water. -
2 blade vs 3 blade. I would think your bow might be sitting a little nock high and the 3 blade has more surface area to plane lower

I got the same email today Becker.. Got to love AZGFD selling our info to guides!!!!

10-15 pounds of boned out meat, is usually the range on a javelina. The reason I asked about the "dressed" part was because most of the time when a butcher talks about % yield, it is after the head and hide has been removed. Javelina are all head. When I shot my first many years ago, I was a little surprised by the lack of meat I had after de-boning him out. My processor requires 10lbs of meat to make sausage, and more than once, we have had to combine pigs just to hit that #. Enjoy your Javelina, they are great table fare despite what some think.

By dressed do you mean skinned and gutted or skinned, gutted, hooves removed and head removed?

I like the omega series by Nikon. They are not very expensive, and have good clarity for the money. They also feature the bullet drop circles which are great.

Great info Amanda!! All who are interested, ought to try to right, game and fish's wrong, with a little help in predator depredation within the boundries.
-
IMO, I go ZEISS all the way. for 500-700$ they are the best scope out there. Only drawback is limited MOA adjustment. Need to get a 20 moa base to shoot longer range.

take up Hoss and pick his brain. Guy is proven on the REZ!!!

I can remember taking 50 gallons of extra fuel when heading all the way back in there. Bite the bullet and take atleast 25 extra gallons of fuel. It sucks to waste 160 miles to get gas.

IMO, there are 2 different types of trips: Guys only trips, and family trips. Just depends on what type of hunt I am going on.

Maybe the collars those sheep wear are putting out a high frequency sound that only the lions hear? It sounds like a dinner bell!!
-
Are you allowed to hunt lions where the sheep are located? If so, seems sitting near the herd might be a great opportunity!!!!
