Any Fishing recommendations in Maui for honeymoon
HuntHarder replied to BowHuntAZ's topic in Fishing
I fished from shore about 10 years ago in both maui and kauai and did good in Kauai. I caught a bunch of hammerhead sharks in Kauai off of a dike that went out a little bit. Was a Blast -
What is the 1 mile rule?

What Lance Said! Every time I go out, I calibrate my compass. It is very easy to do, and will avoid any problems you are having.

I have owned both, I would choose the WMR over the HMR. I think my 17hmr has too much drift in wind, and if I am shooting at prairie dogs and miss, there is a lot of the times that I am unable to see where I missed with the HMR. Such a small bullet does not throw a whole bunch of dust. I know you are not suppose to plan on missing, but take the 17hmr in the wind, and it is going to happen. As far as damage, I have taken quit a few foxes, and both seem adequate. I really want a semi-auto 22 WMR, but Ruger apparently can not figure out how to make one that doesn't crack!!

I am not an expert, but I would guess average to younger queen.

remington 700 sendero nightmare
HuntHarder replied to 5guyshunting's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
the worst part about it is, the back-up at Remington right now, might take well over 6 months to get thru. If I were you, I would call Remington first, throw a holy @#$% fit and make sure your gun gets ahead of the thousands upon thousands of recalled Remington's. Most dealers do not have any 700's on their shelves, and I know Sportsmans has been told it could be months before they see their 700's back. -
Gotta love those hounds. Did he find his way back home as expected, or did someone find him? Good deal that he is back at home.

"take" loosely translates in to attempt to take or pursuit. You do not have to take an animal to actually "take." I wonder how AZGFD would interpret using thermal imagery close to a hunt or the night of a hunt?

Whats in your pack and what pack do you use?
HuntHarder replied to SwarovskiCoues's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Batteries, BABY WIPES!!!!, Gps, extra havalon blades, starburst or skittles, guttin' gloves and a small first aid kit is what I carry in addition to your list. -
Bowfishing is addictive! Good thing you didn't shoot any of the cats, you are not allowed to at Pleasant.

Should be around 385-390 grain arrow based on his KE and arrow speed

Great bow, I still remember my Bowtech justice. Same bow as the liberty, just 2" shorter axle to axle. This liberty bow is a shooter for sure, very forgiving and good speed. Someone should snatch this up.

What is your favorite bow brand? - archery market research
HuntHarder replied to JMP's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I shoot a Mathews to kill the animal, not to Hoyt em'. J/k All joking aside, most bow companies make great bows now a days. I do agree with El pepe, that more people ought to shot target, and not just hunt. 3-D shoots are a great time, and really do help when it comes time to go hunting. -

Mathews is way behind? Spoken like a guy who has never owned a Mathews!! They are not the fastest bow on the market, but they are the smoothest after the shot, and draw very smooth as well. Try one out, you just might like it. -
The block b-18, b20 or b22 is my choice of target. No "breaking in" needed, and will last at least a year or two. Very easy arrow removal. Both broadheads and field points.

I see this thread as pointless and can only hurt the hunting community.. Everyone has their ways of getting it done, some will agree, some will disagree. I think before you make BOLD statements that "archery hunters wound more than rifle hunters," You should at least have some facts to back this up. I could argue that my 300wsm 180gr bullet has 500 more ft/lbs of energy at 500 yards vs. your 375H&H with a 250gr bullet, but I am sure you already knew that.

You are interpreting it right! There is more land than what it looks like. Go up there and burn thru a few tanks of gas. I was amazed at how much land is open to hunt, that looks as if it is closed.

I think AZkiller's signature tag hits a little too close to home for him!

supressors are used often by the guy I know. He has no rules. He shoots from the truck, next to houses, protected animals, animals out of season.
