Alot of us are in the same boat you are. Like Mattys281 said, just keep trying. I've made several stalks on both whitetails and mulies. Sometimes I blow the stalk, and sometimes I spook while drawing back my bow, and sometimes I miss. Its all experience and just learn from it. And on a side note I've missed 2 pigs and I'm still looking to get my first one

I yse the garmin etrex, and I've never had a problem with it. I have the cheap $100 camo one that does just the basics. I like it and its very easy to use.

Thats an awesome story. My friend had a similar experience. He emptied his quiver at a pig, and one of our friends, Mr. Olson, who is about 70 yrs old, grabbed the only arrow he could find, which also happened to be the one in the pig! He had a big stick in one hand, and reached out and pulled the arrow out of the pig and gave it back to my friend to shoot again! I couldn't believe it. We all laughed the whole rest of the hunt about that(and still do)

Well you showed alot more restraint than I would have. I would've had my eyes closed and flingin arrows!

CouesAZ, I agree, both organizations and the fighters in them are great. (Well they are one and the same now) And I would put my money on it that every pride fighter coming into the UFC will do MUCH better on their second fight And I can't wait to see Dan Henderson fight Anderson Silva. Those are two bad mofos!

If they are both so superior, why did they BOTH loose?> Didnt Chuck beat Silva a few years back as well? Thats the great thing about this sport, ANYONE can win on any given night. Chuck and Silva have never fought, but they were going to 2 decembers ago, but I they didn't because of some contract issues between Pride and UFC. Its funny how someone isn't interested in a subject can come on this thread and badmouth it and everyone on here who likes it, but how many threads have come up on this site that have nothing to do with hunting and you don't see people pissing and moaning that other people are talking about it. Get over it. If you don't like it don't read.

I don't know that area but usually if I need a starting point on a new area I go on the azgfd.com and look on "where to hunt" and begin there. They usually have some good info

You can use the cage to your advantage. Thats why you'll see guys take someone down and press them up against the cage and there is a whole strategy to using the cage. With the ring you can't do that and you don't have to work on being up against the cage. Plus you add in the elbows and it changes a whole game. And crazy horse fought another guy named heath something or other and lost by decision, and then almost knocked out Nogiera and ended up losing the fight. The guy is definitely intense though.
