Whats missing from your collection?
mikep35 replied to 4Falls's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Definitely a 22-250 and an over-under 20 gauge -
I would love to get the new tundra. What a sweet truck. My buddy has one and he absolutely loves it. Plus as you already know anything by toyota is gonna be better than ANY other maker as far as reliability and durability.

DesertBull, You hit it right on the head. I would assume that the employee(s) that f'd this up probably don't have a job anymore but Cabelas is going to try and rectify it and do what they can to help their customers. You can't blame them for trying. Everybody wants to just grab the torches and pitchforks and "lynch us some Cabelas" Now with that being said I'm hoping this is a formality that the G&F is giving them to hear them out and then just tell them no. If they do except the apps then we should go them torches and pitchforks and head to the G&F!

Monster Archery Buck *UPDATED*
mikep35 replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
The guy was just complimenting you on an extraordinary buck. There's no need to get pissed off at someone who posted the wrong score. Get over it. You shot the buck of a 10 lifetimes. Be mad at SCI not someone complimenting your deer. Oh and congrats on a fantastic buck. I'm jealous -
+1 for the ripcord. Definitely better arrow flight than any of my previous rests

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately; illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida . Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation. + Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border. + Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies. + Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border. Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?

I had it done about 2 years ago by Nationwide and it was very cheap. It only cost me $1500. I was seeing better than 20/20 2 days later, and I was able to go back to work the next day!

Another vote for the 25/06! Now the best all around, versatile gun I would have to give to the .270 but you can't beat a 25/06 for coues! One shot one kill! -

On the "off seaason" I love to go to San Diego every other month or so and go surfing. There's nothing like being out there in the ocean and catching waves while the dolphins and seals are swimming around(and sharks) There's only one thing I like to do better and that is hunting!

Thats hilarious! -
Congrats on a great deer

That was one helluva story. The antlers make that deer a stud but the story makes that deer a true trophy! Congrats and that swarm can eat sh!t!

Ethics of Finding a Trail Camera
mikep35 replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
If you take something that isn't yours its stealing. You didn't "find" it. If I catch someone stealing something of mine, then when the cops show up its my word against his on what happened. I caught him stealing and then he tried to attack me. I had to knock him out! -
I bet those antlers were painful to pass!

Thats a sweet looking rifle and I'd buy it if I had the money.

Mt. Cat, that is a good idea, I'd definitely like to try that out instead of the mouth calls. I've called in several coyotes using the cottontail and jack in distress and one fox, but I'd really like to call in a cat. Maybe I'll try this out. I like the versatility with all the different calls.
-
Good luck on your hunt and definitely let us know how it turned out, heck maybe I'll get an e caller!
-
Sweet shed man, that is a heck of a find.

That was awesome Tony, Thanks.

Ethics of Finding a Trail Camera

If thats the ONLY spot that you know of to hunt and refuse to hunt elsewhere because someone left their stand up, then call the g&f or forest service and let them know. I've run across permenant stands and I just ignore it and go somewhere else. I have a climber so I pack mine out almost everytime. You could also try leaving your name and number on the stand and work something out with the guy to where you can both hunt there. Now I'm not advocating being a tattle tail because but there are options.
