Thats an awesome pic! And dang thats close! -
When I was camped at Point of Pines last year in March, we had turkeys every morning and evening walking around the trailer. We even found sign of some way down in the southern part of unit C where you wouldn't expect to find them. My buddy bought an August bear tag, so I think I will be tagging along with him unless I buy one of the October tags. David I'll be down at point of pines. I think thats where we are going. My buddy also bought a bear tag this year so I'll be tagging along with him this year as well. He goes every year. This year he went with 4 other guys and they all shot bears that made the books. Amazing!

Well, my buddy and I had an eventful evening. I just got back from an evening hunt. We . saw a muley spike from the road, so we decided to go after him. He was in no hurry so I jumped off to the right to circle around and cut him off, while my buddy decided to around the other way. As luck would have it the little guy went right to my friend. He took a shot at about 50 yds and hit underneath him. The buck ran about a hundred yards and stopped. My friend got to within range again and drew. Another shot underneath him! After the second shot the buck went over the ridge. I was up high watching the action unfold.( And laughing). I got back down to the truck about a half hour later to find out that he jumped up a monster with about a 28" spread. Then came the words from his mouth that made me want to strangle him. " I shot and it went over his back at 30 yds." Anyway, I'll be headed back up tomorrow by myself to see if I can't get on the big guy and put some antlers on the ground.

Hey Mike I know this has nothing to do with the thread but I was down at the Sportsman Wharehouse down in Tucson and they had a closeout on bows piled up against the counter in their boxes. I noticed a Tomcat for around 5 hundred. Dont know the draw length or any thing, but it might be worth a phone call.I believe the Alligience, Tribute, and the Tomcat are the only ones you can inter change smooth or speed cams. Check it out. I'll definitely take a look at that. Thanks alot. Thats not a bad price.

Some items I found hunting

My Bad. I didn't see Grizz's post -
I don't use anything but mouth calls. It seems to me that they would sound more realistic than coming from a speaker.

Thats awesome! Great job guys!

Yesterday I was looking at the Tomkat, but I'm still not sure. I have a 27" draw length so some of the bows I've looked at are out. Either the draw weight is too long or the poundage isn't heavy enough. I shoot about 65 lbs. But I'm definitely going with a bowtech.

Thats a great buck. Congrats

I think he said it was already dead when he found it. -
Well, I've got a 12 year old browning that shoots about 10 ft per second, and I shoot the aluminum logs, but after my first kill with it this past september, I'm gonna bite and get a bowtech.( And probably switch to carbons)

Congrats on your first coues. Welcome to a new addiction!
