I usually put my stand at around 12-15ft to the bottom. Any lower and those deer will bust you.

Another vote for the muzzy broadheads. Excellent flight and very durable. Great penetration with lots of damage. Killed my cow elk last year and she barely took 2 steps to turn around and fell. Easy tracking job

I have the stealth cam v450 with the 2" LCD screen built in. I've had good luck with it and has good picture quality. The 6 C batteries it takes lasted around 3 weeks and took 30 pictures

I had the exact same thing happen to me while walking back from my treestand at dark. I've hunted my whole life and never felt that feeling of being watched or followed til then. The hairs on my neck stood up and my eyes started watering for no reason. Absolutely terrifying. That same spot has ended up being my favorite hunting spot

Thats an awesome pic. It looks like the one on this side of the fence and the far one are the cubs and the other is the mother. Seems like you got alot of lions in that area I'd be more than willing to take one out and help your deer herd

I have the leupold vari x III 4-12x42 or 50 i can't remember which but it is great quality and have had a lot of success with it.

I like to sit in a tree stand up north and hunt mulies over a water hole or a few trails I have. I try to stay out til noon or so but sometimes the weather gets to me and I pack it in til 3 or so then head back out til dark. I get alot of animals right at daybreak, then slows down til 11am-1pm in which i've seen a surprising amount of activity.

Mikep35, your girlfriend can put her own climbing treestand up and also shoots a bow and she is only your girlfriend? She is remarkable and rare for these days. Don't let this one get away unless she can out shoot you. TJ Unfortunately she out shoots me most of the time She went on her first big game hunt last january and I set her up in a groundblind at 5am in pitch black darkness and she was absolutely thrilled! I have a friend of mine who is 34 years old and still won't hunt by himself She's a trooper for sure. But easy with all that ring talk. She's definitely a keeper so I don't want to ruin that by marrying her And I realized I forgot the harness but she wanted to try anyway. I told her that when she hunts she has to wear it! Even though her dumba$$ boyfriend doesn't wear one

Well I opted not to go to work today and go check my trail cam today. So my girlfriend and I went up and checked it out. She also climbed up in a tree stand for the first time and took a couple of shots with her bow. It was pretty entertaining since she is scared of heights, but was able to overcome her fear and did a great job. We also saw a buck with 4 does on the way in to the stand. The big bull has a radio collar. And the little bull apparently didn't like his picture taken as he plainly shows his displeasure

Yeah I'm pretty excited to see that bull in a couple months. Of course I didn't get drawn this year, but my buddy has a bull tag and that spot is probably one of the most active spots I've ever had. Every time I've hunted there I've gotten a shot or had animals come in.

Muay thai is a lot of fun. I used to box at gene lewis, for a few years which helped with my discipline but to be completely honest I've began to absolutely love jui jitsu. I honestly think its the ultimate martial art.

I agree. I used to say the same thing before I started training. I've been training for over a year now in both jiu jitsu and muay thai, and its amazing how difficult it is. The real mma fighters are without a doubt the best disciplined, focused athletes on the planet and best conditioned hands down. Thats why it pissed me off so bad watching elite xc. Aside from the robbie lawler and gina fights, the show was a disgrace. And on a side note those girls fighting was phenominal. They fought like dudes The skill level and form of both girls' muay thai was amazing. Gina's teep and push kicks as well as her roundhouses and jabs were perfect. (it also helped that she trains with randy couture)

I don't think the fight was fixed but the ref definitely missed a tap and shouldn't have stood them up. Bottom line, it was a terrible fight between two less than mediocre street fighters. And thats all they are, street fighters. Look at Kimbo's guard. His legs were flat on the mat. That guy could've mounted him anytime, but was too stupid and went into a judo side mount.

Nick Diaz won the lightweight belt in Pride and then got stripped because he tested positive for weed. Him and his brother both are notorious potheads. The only reason I can see going to Elite xc is because none of the real fight organizations will take him. Plus he has a better chance at the belt in elite because the fighters aren't at the same level as ufc, wec etc.

Thats why they picked him to fight kimbo. He's got a weak chin. I've seen him fight before and he always gets knocked out. Neither one of them were conditioned and both were sloppy and slow.

Elite has some decent fighters but none the quality of ufc or even wec. Robbie Lawler is the middle weight champion? He wouldn't be in the top 5 or 6 185 pounders in the ufc. He hasn't beaten anybody big. He beat Frank Trigg but that was when Trigg was past his prime, and Trigg's not that good anyway. And the guy Kimbo fought has the weakest chin I've ever seen and always gets knocked out, yet kimbo couldn't knock him out. Kimbo is supposed to hit harder than "anyone." The ground game was pathetic, and thats an understatement. I've rolled with white belts who've only trained for a few months that have a better ground game than those two.

Now these were some good quality fights. I wish all the people who watched mma for the first time on cbs could have seen the the last two wec fights. Perfect examples of true mma. These fights were phenomenal. I can't stand faber but I definitely respect him after that fight. If Pulver could've figured out that dang bernard hopkins-type lead right hand that faber kept hitting him with I think it would've been a different fight. Excellent fight anyway.
