I would like to say I'm surprised but I'm not.

I think most people who are gun owners but not an NRA member are just cheap. They will use some lame excuse but really what it comes down to is that they would rather itch and moan but not put money where mouth is. Some people talk about it but very few be about it. At least this is my experience about most things in life.

what size are the tires and what did they come off of?

Not just at UofA and basketball, but what does it say about the character of the parents and raising their "child" when they knowingly violate rules and break the law by taking money? At least I understand the motivation of the coaches, who I have always kind of looked at like a used car salesman. That is why none of this shocks me. As a parent, I would be ashamed of myself if I did this and profited off of my son or daughter. I don't care how broke or poor I am. If people are so upset and act like they did not know this was going on in all college sports maybe it is time for a change? Maybe each pro sport needs to come up with their "minor" league system and pay the kids? Kids have the choice of going into minor league system or go to college but they can't be drafted pro until their class graduates ( 4 years). The pro sports teams need to know they are untouchable for 4 years. Even though I am commenting on this subject it is kind of a mute point for me. I have been turned off by pro sports for years and college is getting to be the same. Other than maybe a college baseball game I have no desire ever go see a football or basketball game. Hockey doesn't even count in AZ. It is too cold to go outside so I have nothing better to do but comment. Good luck to all those that applied for elk & antelope.

Is there a single person alive that doesn't think ALL major (successful) programs cheat? I thought it was common knowledge just like the casting couch in Hollywood. I don't get why everyone is in shock or surprised?

So much for having an early deadline date for paper apps. I thought the process was going to be sped up now? I still say we will begin to see CC hits on March 2nd. Questions: Have you really noticed any processing speed-up since the majority of people apply on-line and they split the draw and moved elk/antelope earlier in the year? I haven't. Not that it really matters, can't hunt until the fall anyways. It just kind of reminds me how we say we are going computer based and going paperless but we use more paper now that we did 20 years ago. When applying online why can't we just enter our sportsman ID or Soc. Security number and all our information pop up? If we need to edit it, let us. Then let us just just select all the species we want to apply for and the units or BP. The way it is now we always have to start back at beginning for everything. As a former computer programmer this just seems so redundant especially since they have all our information stored electronically in their database.

Sorry, I just checked my deleted folder and the email I received was regarding the March 5th meeting. I did not receive anything about this past weekends meeting in Yuma.
-
I received a notice of the meeting last week.

I'm not a shed hunter but I can tell you my cameras used to always get stolen between 3rd week of march and end of April. I have always assumed it was the shed hunters. March 10th might be a little too early from my what I know about shed hunters in my area but bigger bulls might drop earlier than the majority.
-
No room for them but I wish I had a few weekends just to sit and read them. I have also cancelled all my subscriptions. The new magazines look great and are quality made but the stories all seem to be the same. Too many ads. good luck with the sale.

Bob I hope you never want to become a Vegas odds maker. Go back 23 pages of posts and you have been wrong every time. UofA has owned ASU since early 80's. The "dirty T" has had to worry about losing quality players to other schools and the draft for years. It is nothing new and yet the good ones still keep coming. Why is that? Because they win, they are consistently in the NCAA tournament and players go pro. I'm an ASU grad but at least I know when to keep quiet. When the Sun Devils can put 4 quality seasons back to back then we can begin to talk.

Not sure but can your son get a tag from the hunt for heroes program or one of the other programs that give ex military guys tags? I don't know if they have to be out or military or not but might be worth looking into. From what I hear they have been having to turn down some tags because they can't find people to take them. This is especially true for the very short notice donations. For guys that have served their country this program has turned into a windfall. Good for them.

I have this same bow. It is now my back-up bow but I shot my very best with this bow. I even kick around the idea of going back to it. Excellent bow IMO.

unit 21 with either my Hoyt Carbon Element or my .223 chambered Thompson Contender.

I lost far more cameras during shed hunting season than any other time of the year. Now I don't put my cams up until june and pull them right before archery deer season opens. Since I have gone to this strategy I have not lost any cameras. I never have anything closer that 400-500 yards from water.

2017 Video Coues AZ Hunt - Long Range
knothead replied to T-Post's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I think there are many hunters that have the same opinion as ThomC. They just choose not to respond on a public forum. Beautiful Bucks BTW.- 15 replies

If you want more elk in AZ stop killing all the baby makers. I can only guess the people that are not liking these AZ elk being sent to WV are also against the killing of cow elk. I once read that a cow on average produces between 7-10 elk. Want to make a difference? There is your chance.

If you are a believer in the North American model of wildlife management (which every public land DIY'er should be) then you should support this and say good for West Virginia. Us Arizonan's are happy to help you out and what is good for elk is good for everyone that likes elk. You either support the idea or you don't. You can't pick and choose only when if favors you. Man I didn't realize Kentucky had that many elk already. I hope the West Virginia herd grows as fast.

I see you traded in the "Gat Man" plates for the 12-ring. Good luck with the sale.

I have a 2001 4runner I am getting ready to sell. We are the 2nd owners and have had it since 2006 All 4 of my children drove this while in HS. Has low miles for the year. I think it just turned 160K. Had new timing belt, radiator and shocks put in a couple years ago and front brakes about 1 month ago. The vehicle is cream puff never off road and has only seen a dirt rd a few times. One small dent in rear where my daughter backed into something. Everything works but stereo is not very good. V6, Auto, power doors and locks, moon roof, SR5, 4X4, hitch and white in color. Feel very safe to buy this vehicle as it is not a lemon and very dependable. I can send pics tomorrow if interested. john text - 623-680-4458 north peoria

A buddy of mine lives in Heber. He is on permanent disability (two broken backs, spot on his brain, bad liver and the list goes on). His mother and father passed away and left him with a beautiful home up on the hill & across the road from the Buffalo ranch. He has had it for sale for 4.5 years. 5800 sq ft appraises for over a million and he has lowered price to 600K. The only people who can afford it are older people but they don't want anything that big. The people with kids who would like it can't come close to affording it because no good paying jobs up there. When his father-in-law was alive he said older people want to move out of the city and get out of hustle & bustle. They find out that it is not all that is cracked up to be because they are always going into the city for medical purposes and conveniences only cities have. They tried for 3 years to sell the house before they passed. Anyone thinking of moving to a small town that has children need to realize the majority of them will move away when they are older. Very few good paying jobs in small towns and most young people want to be around city life. Just one more thing to think about if you want to be near children/grand children when they get older.

I'm a life member of this club as well. No other species has me as perplexed as the collard peccary. Seems the only time I find them them is when I am not specifically hunting them. When I was younger I was about 50/50 on locating them but now I don't even make blip on the radar.

Seemed like a late rut and then it was over right when it got started.

All I have to say is that the grass is not any greener on the other side. I have found Arizona to be an underappreciated state. I guarantee you will miss it if you leave. I have done it two time (TX & NM) and have wanted to get back to AZ as fast as I could once I left. You will miss being able to be in just about any geographic climate in 3 hours or less, great weather, all our public land (Yes, NM has tons of private and it is a PIA and the only thing TX has going for it are beautiful women), the ability to hunt a variety of species and all the hunting opportunities available. I can't emphasize enough how weather can make a difference in your quality of life. There is a reason why all those people escaped cold weather places and moved to the sun belt states. Knowing what I know now, I would stay in state. I would like to move from the metro area but pay outside of the valley is much less so I'm stuck here. Payson, Camp Verde, Prescott would be on my list of places to move to. About 10-12 years ago the wife and I kicked around the idea of moving out of state one last time. We would have chose Grand Junction Colorado. We came back to our senses and stayed here. good luck on whatever you decide.
