Anyone own or have experience with the hunter version of the Seekins Havak? I have a discount code that would bring the price down into the $1600 range. The new 6.5 PRC might be calling me. As discussed on another thread, it's not the fastest 6.5 but it's still pushing way more than some others. More interested in rifle feedback than anything. thanks,Jim

Ad modified to reflect that the remaining barrel is a 8.5 twist.

One sold. Still have another one for sale.

I'll check the diameter. They are 4 groove barrels.

Parents/ grand parents can transfer to their kids. You can donate it to a legit non profit and they can give it out. Pretty sure that's the reg. AZ game and fish website explains it better.

I have a chance to trade a rifle for some barrel blanks. These seem pretty well regarded by guys on other forums. Anyone using or had experience with Mullerworks ? He was with Rock Creek and they still make his barrels, but he does his own rifling/lapping. If I trade, what would be the most popular barrel to later sell if I end up with extras? I'm thinking 6.5 with an 8 twist in a #4 contour would be in demand.

Tikka compacts are another option. They have an insert to extend the LOP later. 6 pound hunting rifles that usually shoot extremely well. A good recoil pad goes a long way on whatever you end up with.

Thx Cj. Anyone else? -
For what it's worth. I'm left eye dominant but grew up shooting borrowed RH rifles. I prefer shooting RH rifles since it allows me to cycle a round while maintaining a trigger hold. If she has been shooting a RH rifle already and has no problem with cycling rounds let her shoot it as a lefty. Lots of rifle stocks do not have a cheek rest so the rifle doesn't really have any negative toward lefty shooting other than the bolt. Plus you can borrow her rifle!!!

A production rifle in 6.5 that shoots right at 3000 fps with reasonable priced factory ammo. Seems like a winner. The Seekins 6.5 PRC hunting rifle has a lot offer for the $$. Bet they give Cooper and the other 2K brands some competition.
