anyone have any experience with both? I was originally looking at the viper 6.5-24x50 but I looked through a diamondback 4-12x40 ao with the parallax adjustment and it was crisp and clear... I have a elk hunt in 22 north and the scope will be going on 300 win mag the viper is 399.00 and the diamonback 299.00 is the viper worth the extra 100 bucks? I've looked through them in store but can't really get a good view indoors...i did like the diamondback it seemed a little clearer than the viper but that was indoors.. I would love to hear from someone who has used both to help me make my decision.. I purchased the diamondback from bass pro but had issues with the way it was mounted and returned it and now I'm stuck I don't know which one to go with I would rather have to much scope than not enough but have heard the viper at higher magnifications gets really foggy... And info would be appreciated.

It is pretty thick stuff and ideally I would like a shot under 400 but know people that have hunted this area and they told me be prepared for longer shots

I have the late 22 north bull hunt this year and was planning on getting a jumping jack trailer because of there simplicity and ability to haul my ranger crew but after adding the options I would want it just didn't make sense to pay that much money for a tent on wheels... Toyhauler are not really an option because I have my ranger crew to haul and my truck is paid off and only a 1/2 ton not sure it would do great hauling that much weight plus there a little out of my budget I looked into a hotel room because I would like to shower once or twice haha but it was gonna be around 750 for the full 7 days so now im looking into other options like canvas tents I like the kodiak tent because it's easy setup and would much rather camp out than stay in a motel if you tent it for the late hunts what do you do to stay warm in the tent? Do you shower or just use no wash soap?

Awesome set up hucker I'm still debating on a tent I have good cots and just bought some kelty bags so I'm good there I like the kodiak tent easy setup I do like the wall tents just a little concerned with the setup process I've never put one up before don't really wanna spend a couple hours setting a tent up but I'm still looking around to see what is out there

The shower isn't a big issue honestly I've never used one while camping or hunting in the last but this past weekend we went camping and my dad had his solar shower and I used it and it was nice to feel refreshed after sweating my butt off cutting wood I was just thinking with the cold weather it would probably suck haha I have a pretty good sleeping bag So I'm covered there's big issue is staying dry and warm I really like the wall tents with stove I've never put one together and don't really want to spend 2 hours setting one up I like to be ably to move easily if I need to that's why I like the Kodiak flex bow I would however like the room the wall tent provides as there will probably be 8+ people hunting with me .... There have been some great suggestions listed so far thank you very much

I have had some issues with basspro the last few times I've gone in and I've told myself before I'm not going back but for whatever reason I decide today I was gonna go in and give them another shot... I went in looking for a scope for my 300 win mag I ended up purchasing a vortex scope and also picked up some Leupold rings and bases the wife was shopping so I figured I would have them install it so they could bore sight...(big mistake) the guy that installed my scope didn't look like he knew what he was doing should of been my first sign to just leave but I let him continue I walked away for 5 minutes to get some ammo and come back and he's beating and the rings to get them to move with a rubber mallet he ended up replacing them after I saw what he did when he was done I got my rifle and left didn't pay much attention got home wich is over an hour away for me and pull the rifle out and the scope is scratched badly he must of installed the scope and had to make adjustments and Instead of taking the rings off he just pulled the scope back causing scratches... I called basspro and they said I can return it which means I have to make another hour trek back up there I think this time I am done with basspro I will make the longer drive from now on to go to cables....ok I'm done venting lol....
