that is solid advice. you are pretty far from the elk units, so whichever one you are most comfortable with spending time and driving to.

im surprised the woodland critters didn't get to it yet. was it pretty bleached when you found it?
-
never seen one under a tree myself. last muley shed i found was in plain sight by some dead tall grass. i thought it was some bleached tree branches at first that had dried up. nice 4 pointer

from now until later this year. grab them before the ground rats get to them! with it being so dry i would think earlier this year?

Have them both shoot!!! Double bang!!! what kind of chaos that would create with pigs scattering everywhere ha

Good luck and way to keep at it. I've seen your posts in the other sub forums too, sorry I don't know much about 21 personally

Sorry to hear. Maybe he will be arond in august and a tad bigger

6a/b 7e late rifle. its all a shot in the dark, 80% of the permits will be available after the bonus pass. So just pick the 2 units you are more comfortable with and go with it. whichever unit you can scout the most or get help with would be the one I would put in for. I'm hoping for that early rifle 22N tag this year. Theres like 20ish tags only. I'm getting the kids in 6a jr rifle. Hopefully we can harvest some meat

Muzzle loading is in feb. Which Phoenix area will you be in. I would try to get one of the more "popular" units

They work better on a group of pigs. Lone boars will haul arse from what I've seen. Even doubles will take off most times. It's all really a crapshoot. Electronic calls are illegal for pretty much of edible creatures including doves and watwrfowl.

Stamp(s) question
khmer6 replied to stoney4325's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I'm not sure if you need the migratory bird stamp for waterfowl? I thought the federal duck stamp would cover the HIP. I could be wrong though. I hunt doves, so I have the bird stamp already but for those that don't hunt doves, it maybe a question to ask azgfd -
Way to go prepared. This a down south unit?

How much are you guys paying to process your pigs? 3$/lb?
-
+1. A lot of these decisions are governed by a higher power, whether it maybe the department if administration or the legislation.

It's been kind of a warm season lately. We have been mostly in the 70s and even the early mornings are somewhat warm. With the temperature differences are you guys noticing they are favoring the south or north facing slopes? Are they sticking to the draws and washes mid day?
-
Great story kid. This was the late October juniors hunt correct? I want to get my kids in on the 6a cow hunts. Just need to stack the freezer and enjoy time with the family
-
Cool thanks guys. I was getting worried they would of moved to north slopes already.

That's a pretty awesome sound. Guessing it was about 6to8 months old? Any experts?

I found this though.

Link doesn't take me to video. Just generic YouTube link

Nice guy. His head looks pretty big??

There's a lot of water right now. Most of the water hasn't dried up in bordering units from earlier rains. The desert is so green. I'm surprised there isn't as much dirt tanks and watering holes on 19a

Wow crazy bull, thought it was only bucks. I think there was a cactus buck recently that had not nutts at all
