I wish the clowns that target shoot in some areas would realize that. They probably don't contribute a penny to the environment!!! It's gated access.... it says no trespassing.... so that must mean its OK to go litter in the desert and shoot a centerfire rifle for fun across the flats hoping it won't hit anyone! on another note. If it says "no shooting" that just means no target shooting as well correct? This is on state trust, but there aren't any gates as its an access road to some houses a few mile up the desert mountains. it doesn't have any of the no trespassing signs either. Just a random no shooting sign.

Sounds like my kids this pass weekend. Probably should take them for some shots. Smashing little divits of ice and then licking it haha

I didn't go out, but the title made me chuckle. I have a few pics of pigs in the snow! funny how they contrast in the white

It's cuz of the feds and state has to comply. I don't think any really gets fines for them. They just note what the address is and you get a letter in the mail. It's not about generating revenue, but more of keeping the grants and funding from the federal level to state budgets.

hoghnter is a pig whisperer. he can make some really convincing pig sounds free hand, whether they are grunts or piglet squeals

nice ive been looking for this report! the last one i looked at from azgfd last year was all crooked like a terrible scan. i couldn't do crap with it to OCR into a useable dataset

I was using 2s. They are some of my dads OLD Nitro 2s that he used to shoot ducks with before they had to switch to steel. So i am just using them up until i need to buy a new box Hahaha glad you found some use for some old duck ammo! Nice job young man!

i'm surprised this thread hasn't received any replies

whatever your scouting produces is spot on. different time of the year might take you to different places. in august you may avoid units like 20b unless you are a camel and can handle the 100+ degree weather, but sitting a tank might be productive. different unit also rut at various times as well

i keep seeing this buck for the past couple of months! been waiting on official scoring!

i wish i hadn't chopped the first shed i found. heard dogs like to chew on sheds so i took a saw to it :-( what a mistake that was. nice 4x4 in a metro unit

Looking for a decent cow hunt for my wife. 7e(early and late), 7w, 8 (late) all seem to have decent draw odds. Any insight on these units or should we just try 6a/b with lower draw odds (more comfortable with these units, but willing to scout! even though the weather and season can move them a lot)

Gamble quail ???
khmer6 replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
have found them everywhere. from flats, to washes, to hills, really steep cliffs. A long time ago they would of been really just about anywhere. I still see them in some pretty flat areas, even a few in the urban parks -
congrats! seems to be a pretty good year for you

Great buck! Glad it worked out after forgetting your binos

just downloaded my copy. now time to scour the odds

last year was really warm throughout. i think they went to sleep for a week or two. then we got a cold snap again, don't remember what happened after. but lots of animals that normally hibernate came out extremely early last year as well
