The thought of having my hands that sticky freaks me out. A little pig blood never killed anyone. I've consumed raw javelina blood, just small enough amounts that when the photos are don't being taken and the work starts, pop a fresh dose of Copenhagen Long Cut in to calm thy self and get to work. Before the hiking starts again that medicine has to come out... I've done it with bears too. Never gotten sick. Just don't think about it.

Grats Joel. A pig is a pig. There's a reason it says any javelina on the tag. If you like it shoot it. That's how I feel about any hunt.

Thanks TJ it was a blast. I wanna get good at shooting my bow and go to a little spot in the northern part of the unit I know is loaded with pigs and sneak attack one with my bow. Prolly attempt that in a couple years

I have this bow but the black one. It's the first bow I've ever shot. Very smooth and fun to shoot. Guys if your wife or girlfriend is wanting to learn to shoot archery this is a great bow. And amazing price!!! Wish I would have seen this 2 years ago when I bought mine. Plus Archery equipment makes great gifts!!!

Idgaf, thanks but I don't know anything about electrical stuff other then it hurts if you mess up lol. I'll stick with my Toyota and Double U Hunting Supply and Hard Luck Graphix shirts. They seem to bring me pretty good luck

Pressure washing is where it's at. I've had both last year's and this year's Javelina skulls pressure washed and there's nothing better. Cody had an elk done that way too and it looks sharp

No one cares if Cody gets a shirt since he had some and I don't I say a pink shirt and a pink hat is in store lol. I've been given the quest of designing new Camo Hatch Toyota shirts too. Should be fun, first one that will be hot off the press will have a bear running from some dogs for sure lol

I'll be sure to let him know all this Brandon LOL!!! BTW, did you notice that in last years pig hunt I am wearing that long sleeve pink shirt and Cody was wearing the Hayden Electric one and this year we did it again? Must be good luck LOL.

I also need to thank Morgan at Patriot Precision for loaning us his amazing custom Muzzleloader. The gun shot perfectly and was the first muzzleloader I ever shot, first time shooting was shooting this pig. If your looking for a gunsmith that's a truly great guy give him a call. He is currently building 2 rifles for us and he makes beautiful guns.

I forgot to add. So the pigs were by a rock outcropping and I shot, he rolled down. We walked on top to see where the others went to maybe have Cody shoot the other. I wanted to walk to where I shot him to see. We saw a ton of pig sign and followed it and found a cave with tracks coming in and out a lot. Was pretty crazy seeing that. My pig also had a cyst under his hide but on the skin. Opened it up and it was a ton of hair. We think he got poked and the hair got in the wound and healed up inside. Was pretty cool.

Bad thing was shooting this muzzleloader I basically off hand shot it and didn't have ear plugs in... last year's pig was with the 338 Lapua and no ear plugs there.. my ears hurt a lot when I kill stuff lol

Thanks guys. The round hole you can see is one of the exit holes. Bullet disintegrated very bad. Thus the reason for wall pedestal lol. I dont like things getting away or suffering so we shoot big guns with mean bullets. Good thing my taxidermist loves me and can complain about the holes we put in animals.

Dogs can be used on game that is legal to take with dogs. Bears, lions, bobcats, and raccoons are the only things you can track with dogs. Most people with hounds would not allow their dogs to track elk, deer, ect because we co side that trash and work to train the dogs to stay away from that stuff. Unfortunately dogs of any breed can't be used to track other wounded game. Imo game and fish should have a few sources where people can call and someone can go out with a dog and track the non legal dog game.
