Thanks to everyone for the warm kudos. History confirms territorial disputes involving big money and guns has a propensity to turn out badly. Live on to hunt another day! Besides what goes around comes around. BTW, anyone draws this hunt next year and I will gladly disclose the offending sites that clearly hold big bulls (and outfitters). At the risk of not being PC Merry Christmas to everyone.

Spent a lot of time scouting and had some big bulls identified and had been on them consistently for two days prior to the opening. Opening morning got bumped by the outfitter trade in force. Ended up taking this smaller bull the evening of opening day. Great hunt and I am happy with this bull. Thanks to everyone that was willing to help with advice etc.

Awesome buck. Just curious where to get the fitting for the tripod to hold the rifle. I have been looking for one with no success. Any hints on where to pick one up?

Any hints on location in 23? I drew a late bull hunt in that unit. First time hunting there.

Congratulations. Love the pictures of the camp. Any suggestions where to start scouting in unit 23 for the late bull hunt? I finally drew a tag after 8 years and am actively spending time in the unit. I'm just not sure where to concentrate my efforts. I hear that the bulls are in the canyons just off the rim for that hunt.
