Any update on Roosevelt? Anyone been lately? I will be headed up next weekend. Any advice appreciated

A buddy and I are looking to possibly rent a place for one/two nights the last weekend in April near Roosevelt lake. I checked Air bnb and couldn’t find what I was looking for. If anyone has a home in the area they would like to rent for a night or two please send me a message.

Boone is the most unique dog you will ever meet. We often say there is a human inside of him. He has real emotions and is extremely loving. He loves to be inside and is great at not getting on the furniture. He listens extremely well doing exactly what he is told. He sleeps inside on his own bed and lets us know exactly when he needs to go to the bathroom. Unlike any other dog it is not at random hours. He is reasonable with his bathroom times. Boone would be best for a home with no other dogs and older children. We have had him around younger children aged 10 & under he is fine he just is a little to rough but will not be vicious. Boone never jumps on you and does not try to run in the house as soon as the door opens. He is great off the leash and follows by your side. It breaks our hearts to have to find him a new home but anyone who gets Boone will truly feel as if they won the lottery just as we did when we got boone! He is a purebred Weimaraner (no papers). Free to good home will travel. Located in Tucson. Pm if interested

We could always set something up to have the two dogs meet if you would like. We are not in any rush to get rid of Boone until we find him the right home

Boone is still available! He does not “Hunt” but he loves to chase quail! In the right hands Boone will make someone extremely happy. In my original post he actually does fine with other dogs that are not aggressive. He has been around plenty of smaller dogs and other relaxed dogs and everything is fine.

Nice variety! I’m assuming minnows or shad as bait?

He is 5 years old, neutered

This, probably the best advice anyone can give you. Prioritize your funds don’t blow your entire budget on name brand camo and knives and game bags and all kinds of other fancy stuff. After all if you can’t find the elk you will not need any of that other stuff anyways. My way of telling people on how to start getting into hunting gear is binoculars/tripod first.

Exactly what I was thinking, I tell people that I enjoy eating javelina and then every Tom dick and Harry try’s to offer me their javelina if they get one. Should be illegal to harvest an animal with the intent of not eating it. Truthfully I think it’s a lot of newish hunters who are able to have success at actually getting something.

I’m glad people think they stink and taste so terrible. More for me!

More info on this sausage? Was hoping to do something similar

Sleep in, javelina will feed out of the wind in sunny areas from about 9-11am. Mid day look where most recent sign is and either set up to glass when they get up an hour before sunset or go for a walk and hopefully run into them

I had my new license start 2/12/2019 for that exact reason In case I was wrong, wouldn’t be the first time. Does anyone know where it says valid by app deadline and not actual time of draw?
-
Must be different then my scenario. I always buy a new license for this draw cycle. Which means my license expired 2/13/19 which made it still good when I put in. However your license number that you list when applying must be one that is valid at the time of the actual draw not the application deadline. So I had to buy a new license and even after purchasing a new license online first it didn’t put that new hunt number in the box I had to delete the one that was going to expire and put in my new purchased one.
-
I’m curious to see how many guys didn’t notice that even after purchasing a new license it doesn’t automatically update when you go to apply for elk/lope. You have to manually put in your new hunt number. Gonna get a lot of people
