Quail season is coming
Coues assassin posted a topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Who is gonna be in the field next Friday trying to put the smack down on some quail? How many of you use a dog and how many don't? Always curious how the non hunting dog owners do I have never shot more than 8 quail, and I hunt dogless. Let's see some pics to get everyone pumped up! Here is a morning I had last year, not a lot but a lot of ground covered and a lot of fun! -
It was in it's web didn't see it move at all. This is the underbelly by the way

Is this someone baiting? (Pictures)
Coues assassin replied to Coues assassin's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
This is good to know the buckets were in good shape did not look to be very old at all. It's sitting in water and the label is still very readable so it's fresh! Well my cameras will catch anyone coming back! -

There was a metal cage inside the bucket also I didn't get a picture of I will have to take a picture when I go pick up the cams. Maybe I will get some foot traffic on the cameras and we will find out!! -

Anyone try a Gopro mounted on a rifle?
Coues assassin replied to Couestracker's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I use a gopro not mounted on the gun. I would suggest getting a adapter to use it with your binoculars or spotting scope and carry it around on a tripod. For long range stuff at least -
Ttt great hunting rig!

My .02, 15's would be the way to go. A quality pair of 15s will (again in my opinion it's how I hunt) be the most useful tool in your arsenal. It's the glass that you can really tell a major difference between the average and above average glass. Then get a decent pair of 12's to throw around your neck! That's what I would do!
