Thanks for all the info everyone it's made it a lot easier to try and figure out this hunt. Figuring out where and how to hunt this unit is part of the fun but also a little frustrating. I just got to keep scouting and staying on these bucks.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely be up there the weekend before my hunt and a couple of days before the opener. Does anyone know how to get a hold of granite dells ranch? I can't find a phone number or an address on the internet.

Does anyone have experience with scouting before the season starts and having the last hunt? Are the antelope going to be in the same general area or are they going to be scattered all of the place due to hunting pressure. There's 3 weeks of hunting in the unit before I'll get a chance.

I got a "refurbished" pair of vultures 15x56 on Amazon for $420. They came with everything box, case, sling, and even a vortex coozy. They look brand new couldn't be happier with them.

I totally spaced when checking if I got drawn for antelope. I thought I did not get drawn but about an hour when I got to work my wife text and said I think you got drawn for antelope?? I was like what do you mean? She sends a picture of the tag and tells me this came in the mail. 19A buck analope tag!! Best surprise ever!! Now I need to work on scouting and getting landownership permission. Can anyone send me in the right direction to contact landowners and any other things to know about the unit that might not be on the game and fish website.

That's a good point yotebuster I put in PTO for the whole hunt but all the better bucks will probably go the first 2 days. What is the app called for your phone? Is that your 80"er on your profile picture?

Thanks for the tip tight guy. I do not have a GPS of my own and was thinking of borrowing one for that reason so I would know exactly where I was. I don't know what a chip is but sounds like it will show me the ranch boundaries. Is that correct? I've never used a GPS before.

Are the vultures 15x56 worth getting? Wanting a little upgrade from my diamondbacks. I saw some 12x50 vipers that I am also thinking about. I want to stay in the $500 range

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will definitely be doing as much scouting as I can. I actually have the full support of my wife for this hunt which has never happened ha-ha.

Thanks kingjeff187 that's encouraging. I would like to just hunt public land but I don't want to sell my self short either and miss out on maybe some good hunting. I'm probably going to scout public land as much as a can and if I'm not liking it then try to contact a ranch.
