I know of 2 fellers that drew the late archery hunt. I put in for it 3rd choice no luck. As outdoor writer stated, as soon as they figure out how to get some big ones it will be high demand.

AGREE 100% With a turkey you don't need a clean pass through. I prefer ROCKET AEROHEADS, good luck!

I have seen several pairs knocked out of columnation. I attribute it to the small weak frames. You can actually tweak them with both hands and the frame will flex. However they do have a good warranty.

What size? I would have to say the VORTEX brand has several models to fit any budget. I have a pair of 12x50 vortex paid $289.00 for em. They are good glasses, just lack the low light performance I desired. I have found that the difference between the "cheap" glasses and the not so cheap glasses is attention to detail. Check them out, see what you think, good luck.

Just set-up the WHAMMY and man I am impressed. At first it was confusing on how to set up. After seeking help on ARCHERYTALK.COM, it was a breeze. I was shooting bullet holes with one slight adjustment. Don't look the other way on the WHAMMY it is easier than spot-hogg makes it appear on the website. THANKS akuritone it is much appreciated !

Coues Buck Contest
crazy4COUES replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Some good ideas. 1. I personally think a youth story catagory is one that should be considered. 2. Another idea is to incorporate a banquet with the contest. It would be awesome to see a hundred or so CWT.comer's all come together share the pics, stories. Display the actual racks, mounts of the critters. 3. The previous year's winner should most definitly have a say in the "passing of the crown" to the new winners. -
How are the MEINDL footbeds? I did some research and noticed it claimed to have a "body heat activated" foot bed that conforms to your foot. That sounds very comfy to me! Thanks for the feed back, keep em' coming. Like a wise OL' MAN once told me, "There are three things in life you need not skimp,.... a bed, armchair, and boots, cause you spend your whole entire life either on your feet, your butt, or in bed."

HMMM...that is a little upsetting he is a good bow technician. Do you know if he practiced under Ray when he was in business? By the way, was it about the same price? Ray was half the price of the winners choice.
-
TRADE UP!?!? NEVERMIND.....NO COMMENT.
-
DITTO!! RAY WILL BUILD YOU THE BEST STRING YOU CAN FIND. AS WELL HE WILL STAND BEHIND IT IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. HAVE BEEN USING HIS PRODUCT EXCLUSIVELY FOR 8 YEARS.....ZERO PROBLEMS. NOT ONLY THAT BUT THE GUY KNOWS HOW TO THROW A TUNE ON A BOW AS WELL.

Is it easy to download sounds on your MP3?? I was interested in this call only problem was the foxpro web page noted the downloads were not MP3 format. So if you have any input on downloading sounds to IPOD it will help me consider taking it off your hands...THANKS

salt and feed no more in 2009
crazy4COUES replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Just a little play on words....I understand your point. The kids and myself enjoy hiking around to the salt licks and placing cameras, checking the pictures. To think it would be considered illegal is upsetting to me. -

substance: physical material from which something is made A mouthcall (bugle) is physical material and the sound is made from it. -
salt and feed no more in 2009
crazy4COUES replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Any substance a hunter intentionally places to attract ______ (fill in your species of choice). Probably the better definition is: a WM will know it when he sees it. -TONY That narrows it down.......maybe an elk bugle or something.....give me a break! Attracting animals is ALL a part of hunting. -

Now tell me why is it an issue of concern if a guy/gal wants to utilize a kids swimming pool filled with water to hunt and kill deer? How and why is it different than using the ranchers stock tank...that happens to have a ranchers salt block next to it?! Is it the belief that it was not placed or built by the hunter that makes it acceptable? Also if the ranchers have salt, man made water tanks, wells etc. why is it considered natural if they are hunted over it? I fail to see any sense in this whole thing.
