i have not seen that much activity....i did get a shot at a little forkhorn mule deer, he was alone, and then two days later my uncle and I saw a huge 4x4 muley w/stickers and at least a 28" spread and he had 5 does with him. In the same area there was another nice 4x4 muley and he had no does, and then further up the hill in a saddle we jumped a decent 3x3 whitetail and he had no does with him....I have been seeing more bucks then does oddly enough

tagging your first big game animal with your bow at a young age is a great accomplishment...awesome job....im still waiting for my first archery kill....way to go man...he is showing some of us up

yes it was for sure muley country....unless the whitetail moved down to the area....anything is possible...but i have only seen muleys in that country

that area is really thick matty....u dont have to worry much about the late season rifle there was only 50 tags...my buddy had one tag....we didnt see anyone else...just one archery hunter....that catclaw is nasty stuff.but the whitetail love it...we have seen 30+ deer but all does and fawns....it was pretty sad...but had a good time...we were there on the 23rd...on the way out of a deep canyon at dark..it started sleeting and then we got heavy snow on the way out...it took awhile to get out of there...but having the snow that heavy was a good experience.

just to let you know 6B and 8 are NOT open for the late season...just a heads up...look in the regs for open units

im heading out in the morning....going to hunt all day...hope there some snow where i am. I am trying a another spot in another unit that I always have luck seeing bucks...sat morning I went out into my usual spot in 37B....1st time I have seen a whitetail where I was...I was shocked and surprised it was just a lone spike...

for me it all depends if the season is almost over or just begun. If it had just begun I probably would not go for him yet. I would keep my eyes on him but I would not want to spook him out of the area. If it were the last day or second to last...I would go for him without a doubt. Since there is less cover, i would just be on my belly crawling taking my time....moving very slowly. Trying my best to use what cover is available and keep the wind in my favor....if it does not work out...O well at least I tried...still considered success in my eyes

im buying a pure bred yellow lab this july...should be a great dog...Labs are just all around good dogs...i love em

one of the most messed up things i have ever seen......those deer that get shot out of there better not go in the record books...im sure they wont....im gonna call them and email them and let them know how messed up they are for doing that......only if we could close them down
