Every bill of sale I've done was strictly the gun info. No addresses, d.o.b.'s or personal information. Just signatures and printed name.
-
You can also write out a bill of sale with the serial and gun data on it. You and the buyer sign and date it with a witness if there is one there. Can be used as a legal document in a pinch, but it's basically for peace of mind.

I've been debating on going to the banquet in Tucson next month and I'm wondering what everyone thinks about the events. I've been to NRA events before and frankly it was pretty much a joke. The "giveaways" for the raffles went 80 percent to district people visiting from other areas and the other 20 went to major sponsors. The speakers at the NRA one were pretty bad too, basically begging for donations the whole night. Are the RMEF banquets any better? I fully support the organization but I've never been exposed to the local chapters in AZ and have never been to one of the banquets. Do they give any actual information or beg for money the whole night?

Thanks guys. I'm not expecting any kind of seminar, just an update on what the organization is doing, etc. The NRA banquets I went to did not give much information on what the organization had done in the area and pretty much just focused on bashing anti gun lobbyists and Obama. I don't care really about the raffles and everything because it does go to a good cause, it just struck me at the NRA one that the whole thing was rigged, which I don't agree with at all.

Haha, I meant I only use it to see what the deer's packing once I see them. Not to do a sweep! lol I've never had to look more than about 50-100 yards on my farm because the trails are generally less than 20 yards away from the stands.

What would yall recommend for Unit 23 late hunt? I've never had to use more than the scope on my gun, but I'm used to hunting back east in thick woods.

I've been making call lanyards lately. I can do whatever colors you want with as many drops as you want. $ 12 plus shipping for standard and $20 for full cobra (survival bracelet) weave. Over 2 extra drops add a dollar for each. If you have any specific types of lanyard or call you want it fitted to let me know.

I have a nice damascus bowie I got on a trade/payment for some work I did for a man a while back. It is a handmade knife, but I didn't make it in my shop. Ladder pattern damascus blade, guard, and pommel with stained bone handle with stacked bone and brass accents, filework along the spine, and accents on the guard. Unfortunately no maker's mark. Great weight and feel to it, but I just don't need it. I figure someone could give it a new home as a show piece since I have too many of my own laying around in various stages of construction. Coming from a blacksmith/bladesmith so it's razor sharp! $ 150 Iapologize for the pics. I tried to get a good picture of the pattern, but my camera wasn't cooperating. SOLD

bump for first sales; New lanyards in the making as well! I can do any custom colors, combinations, and weaves you could want.

2nd ammendment guys are always pretty nice and they have a good selection. -
I've been doing some research for the season this fall and I'm wondering, what is everyone's opinion on Unit 23? Has the north or south produced the bigger bulls in the past? Which half do you enjoy hunting more? Which area is better for glassing? It's a big unit and I'm trying to narrow down scouting to one area or another. I know a bunch of hunters are probably going to be riding the rez line for big bulls wandering over, but that doesn't seem productive to me if everyone sits and waits there. Everybody weigh in and let the fight commence! haha
-
I'm not trying to get areas at all, just trying to figure out what kind of area it is and what it produced in the past. I don't want anyone to post "their areas", just discuss the type of bulls pulled out in the past, cover, etc. I'm actually going up this weekend to scout for glassing points. If you like the lanyards buy one! haha

The serial is a 2004 number, but I only bought it as a body. I completely went through it about 3-4 years ago during the rebuild. I was trained in a luthier shop and had a friend help me with the rebuild, so it is a professional customization. I still have the original pickups for it if you would like those thrown in as well.- 25 replies
