Thanks buddy. It has not been easy. Calling my parents to check on how they were doing yesterday was tough. Then, throughout the night, I kept expecting to hear my dog moving around, that I needed to take her out to pee, to let her out in the morning, to see her wag her tail when she saw me get up, to feed her, etc. All those little tiny things that were part of your routine are no longer, and you realize it quickly. Man, this was my first ever pet who was a family member to me, and the house is SOOO much quieter, even with 4 and 3 year old daughters and a five month old son. Kinda crazy. Not sure how to describe the loss of my brother, as he was my hunting mentor. I always looked up to him and his abilities. He was 1/2 mountain goat, 3/4 Jeremiah Johnson, 1/4 skunk. He was definitely more than your average weekend hunter and would have lived just like Jeremiah Johnson if given the chance. The guy could go anywhere for any animal, and sure liked to have some fun with the skunk scent at times!

Today marks the two year anniversary of my brother's murder. One of the two scumbags has been free on bond for over 7 months because of his health condition. He has no restrictions except he cannot leave Anchorage without permission. Tough life. Murder someone and get away with it for years. Not a day goes by where my brother does not cross my mind. His picture is with me everywhere I go. Lately, my 4 and 3 year old daughters have been asking a few more questions about their Uncle Jimmy. It is hard to answer them. To pile onto this, yesterday I had to put down my female lab who has been part of our family for 10 years. The house is so much quieter without her around. I find myself reaching out my hand to pet her nose, only to find she is not there. She was my shadow, my buddy whereever I went. Her big sad eyes cried out whenever I left without her. She is so dearly missed. My brother loved my dog so much, so another piece is lost, except for the memories. Jimbo, if you can hear this, I miss you brother. I still hear your voice on the phone, I still hear you in my ear telling me when to shoot that deer, I still hear you teaching me about hunting and fishing, I still see you catching fish while I fish the same dang hole with the same dang bait at the same dang time, but you still catch them all while I wonder what the heck is going on. I love you brother, take care and see you someday. Take care of Joshie and Cora, as they loved you too. You are always in my thoughts. Love you brother. Your little brother, Brian.

    12 Gauge

Need to clean two guns out of the safe. First is a 12 gauge in Springfield Model 67 Series E. Chambers up to 3" shells. I have owned this gun for a long time. About 10 years ago, the ejector pin snapped, so I ordered and replaced the part. Otherwise, this is a fair to good condition gun. Nice first gun or backup gun. Does not cycle all shells exceptionally well, but it is not tough. Has Arizona pinstriping on the wood furniture and the blueing is not 100%. This is a functional gun, not a collectors item. Held onto this for sentimental reasons, but I have too many of those now. These seem to sell online for $150-250 plus shipping and paypal/credit card fees. I would like to get $150 for it cash. Not really interested in trades unless they blow me away. Thanks everyone, Brian

    Sony A300K DSLR--$350

I just purchased another camera and need to reduce my toys again. This is a gently used, NEVER abused Sony A300K Digital SLR (K refers to the entire kit, which is included). Comes equiped with a high quality DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 standard zoom lens, lens caps, strap, original box, all cables, CD-ROM, after-market carrying case, battery and battery charger. This takes multiple sized pictures up to 10.2 megapixels. 3 frames per second!!! AWESOME camera! VERY easy to use!!! Very light usage, always dependable. This has a very cool feature not available in previous models, a 2.7" clear photo LCD tilt screen that simply pulls out and lets you take pictures from weird angles while still being able to center the picture well. Check out the Sony website where they normally sell for $599 but are now on special for $549. Sony A300K Features Sony DSLRs are awesome because you can use any Minolta or Sony lens, as they are interchangeable. Larger or zoom lenses are easily available all over the web, however, the included standard 18-70mm works great all around. PM me or respond to this if interested. Thanks, Brian

    1988 Toyota 4x4

Hey guys, 8 days til the new baby comes and want to get rid of one of my five vehicles (since all 5 run, I cannot be considered a redneck!). I have a 1988 Toyota 4x4 with 32" BFG All-Terrain tires in very good condition with lots of tread left. Professionally rebuilt engine with less than 8,000 miles on it. All tubes and hoses for the block were replaced at time of rebuild. New engine mounts make this run smoothly. Good stiff brakes. KYB shocks with less than 10,000 miles on them. Strong body that needs a paint job but perfect for hunting as is. Stock lift kit. FUN RIDE! Darn zippy for a 4 banger! Good gas mileage around 20-22/gallon. Windshield has a crack. A/C needs either a recharge or the conversion kit, which I have and can throw in. Transfer case is bad, but I have a replacement that I never put it. No time with two kids and a third on the way, with four other vehicles. I have just not had a chance to work on it yet myself. Temp control panel needs replacement or worked on as it won't switch to hot air. This is a workhorse for a 4 cylinder, and I used it to tow my old pop-up trailer up the mountains from Mesa/Tucson often. Great little vehicle but I have to let it go. New baby coming and could use emergency cash, no space in the driveway anymore. $3,000. I will toss in the transfer case for a fully refundable $250 which I will return at the time you return the old transfer case to me within one month. I need to return the old one as part of a full transmission to my older brother! Let's get this thing off my driveway!!! Come test drive and you will see how fun these late 1980s Toyota pickups can be!!! Thanks everyone! A portion of the sale will go back to Amanda for the site maintence if someone buys from this site!!! Brian

Any mention of Curtis Jackson Prock ?

I am reading this and am amazed at the vast amount of knowledge the two of you bring to this site. Us younger hunters (I am 35) should be so proud and honored to have your expertise, experience and knowledge to share with us. Please do not take that as any slight towards whatever age you are. I mean it as nothing more than a tremendous compliment of how much institutional knowledge of the outdoors and Arizona that you bring to the table that is not always in a book to read! Thanks again!
