Thanks for the kind words. It seems you never know how much you will miss someone until they are no longer there with you. Hard to answer questions from my 5 and 4 year old daughters about where their Uncle Jimmy is and what happened to him. Just trying to focus on the positive. I still cannot bring myself to listen to his voice in video clips. Almost three and a half years have gone by and still no trial as the public defender has successfully delayed the judge and the trial. It is near impossible for my parents to live their lives with these delays and thousands of dollars in plane tickets that keep getting canceled a day before a hearing because the public defender needs more time for this or that.

Today is one of those days throughout the year when it hurts the most. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, his birthday, the day he was murdered, all throughout hunting season is tough. Just talked with my mom and it is definitely a tough day for everyone.

Happy birthday brother. It is with tears in my eyes that I write this, because I would rather tell you in person. These three and a half years now have been very hard without you as part of my life and the lives of my children. I know that you are taking great care of Cora and Josh, but we would much rather have you here with us. How can this much time pass but not the pain? You are sorely missed and loved. I am watching the sun rise right now, and remembering many days where we did that together overlooking a canyon for deer or javelina, or walking around searching for quail. My lowly solace is that you probably had a hand in making that sunrise look extra nice today, a little sign that you are still watching over the kids. Many tears have been shed by many people since you were taken away from us, and many tears are still being shed. We miss you and love you so much. Tonight we will be baking you a birthday cake, and while I tell the kids so much about you already, I hope to someday be able to tell the kids why you are not with us anymore. Not sure I am ready for that yet, though.

FOUND : Walther P22 , You tell me where ?

Oh that is mine. I left it outside, you know, at that place where it is sometimes sunny and sometimes shady. It had ammo in it, as evidenced by the fact you shot it. Very nice of you to offer it back to whoever lost it.

    Yukon Moose Hunt

Absolutely outstanding! That experience will resonate with you forever, even more so that you did it with such a good friend!!! Very jealous and hope that someday I will have such an opportunity.

    Dermestids and skulls

Anyone ever buy their own dermestid colony and let them clean the skulls? I have four skulls in the freezer and it seems MUCH cheaper to just buy a colony, let them eat for a few days on each skull, then simply get rid of the beetles. Any experience?

    ***3 1/2" steel shotgun shells

$35 and I will give you GPS coordinates to a random stock tank in the middle of the desert that may someday see a duck or two. Now that, my friends, is a deal!

    Coues whitetail snacks!

Honestly, that is only the second time I have smoked homemade sausage. It has been a learning experience, but the product is so much better than I thought. I will be doing this a ton more!!! In fact, my feeling is that now the product is in a state where if power went out for a period of time or something worse happened, at least the meat is already processed and if kept cool, would last a LONG time. Much longer than if frozen raw.

    Coues whitetail snacks!

Yesterday I made 5 pounds of taco meat (AWESOME!), 5 pounds of smoked snack sticks using mesquite and cherry wood and apple juice and 5 pounds of smoked summer sausage using the same method. Vacuum sealed and put away already!!!

    Coues whitetail snacks!

Yes, after you let the stuffed casings sit overnight in the fridge to let the meat cure, then I stick it in the smoker/grill with wet wood chips and juice. The smoke lasts only about 20 minutes or so, which is needed on the front end, but then does not overwhelm throughout the process.

    Coues whitetail snacks!

I wish there was a secret recipe. Store bought recipe, home ground very fine multiple times with 20% pork and 10% beef. That is why the texture is so fine and not chunky or grisly. Stuffed with the grinder stuffer attachment, let sit overnight. Smoked in three batches yesterday. Turned out INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! Shocked at how well everything came out and tasted.

    36C Tag Early November

The A-10s at 100 feet off the ground right over you is crazy! When you can see the teeth of the pilot when he smiles at you, you know you are close.

Where to buy used or rebuilt engine for 1988 Toyota 4x4?

NO FREAKIN WAY! I finally had that thing running nice again! I had NO idea it would do that. That concerns me, sorry. Very sorry. I guarantee there were less than 10,000 miles on that rebuild. In fact, I think it was closer to 5,000.

    Elk meat to share

How about summer sausage? I just did some for the first time this last weekend and it turned out incredible!

Where to buy used or rebuilt engine for 1988 Toyota 4x4?

Had my 1988 Toyota 4x4 engine rebuilt in downtown Phoenix, but they screwed it up. Wishing I had put a crate motor in after that. Took a while to get everything right again. Was a HUGE waste of money in the end.

    Dermestids and skulls

Know someone who does it fairly reasonably priced? I can get an entire colony for about the price of one skull cleaning. I only need to keep them alive for about 1-2 weeks. That cannot be that hard, can it?

    36C help.

Part of your problem was that you did not go far enough west of that fence. When you do, you will find the Singing Bush. Chant the special words and the Invisible Swordsman will appear. He will point the way to the big ones in 36c. Not sure why you accidentally put in for this unit. Nothing but 2 legged coyotes, sugar and spice transporters and laborers searching for work among the mesquites. Now Unit 49D, that is best unit in the state for 100" deer!
