Wow great price. May hold out for something like that price! Best I can find is sportsmans warehouse for $649. Hoping to feed mine often! -
Dang! Would love to go to Canyon some day and see sheep!

When I used to work downtown, I would recycle our cans and bottles at a few places near work for about $1.25/pound for cans and about $.60/pound for bottles. The money would get split between my kids three ways. We would usually get around $75-90 each trip so each kid would get $25-30. They would then have to place almost all of it in savings for college and got to keep a bit for fun spending money. If they wanted to blow their spending money on a few cheap toys or save it up for a nice doll, train or other toy then that taught them not to spend the few dollars but to save. Great lessons all around about recycling, organization, savings and short term and long term planning and spending. Anyway, I live near BassPro and wonder if there is any place around me that people use for recycling cans and bottles that are reliable and near those prices. Any suggestions? Got a truckload that needs to go. I work in Queen Creek now and downtown Phoenix is no longer convenient. Want to keep the lesson going for the kids now that they are getting a bit older (9,8 and 5). Thanks everyone!

Recycling cans and plastic bottles

Ok just got back. Prices for cans were less than quoted. 34 pounds of cans and 73 pounds of plastic. Kids got a small bump in their savings today. Used to get at least twice for the same amount of cans and plastic but kids got something. Thanks. Will try to figure out best place for prices and location. -

OR if you use it and have the cans and bottles sitting around you can recycle them and help out and make a little money and help teach your kids to work? Yah I do not go searching it out. It is the stuff we use at home and the stuff from the kids' grandparents. We use it to teach life lessons, not how to recycle because you are too poor to do anything else. Great way for the kids to build a small account and teach savings. I personally do not make enough to pay someone else to teach them these lessons nor do I want rely on someone else to teach them these lessons. -

Excellent info! Thanks. Wow 500 pounds of copper. Aren't you afraid they will strip search you through TSA when you turn it all in at once? -
A bush! It is right there in the middle. Not too tough but I did look hard.

Recycling cans and plastic bottles

Thanks. Yes up here the clear plastic bottles like water and some soda but not milk because those are not clear plastic usually. A full garbage bag seems to be about 6-8 pounds for plastic. About the same for cans if not crushed. -

Yah that is pretty close just a few miles. Very ghetto! Not too bad a price though. Any idea on can prices? -
Coworker is selling a box of 18 factory rounds of 35 remington core-lokt 200 grain. She got it from someone but does not shoot this caliber. Ammo seems to sell for about $29/box plus tax and/our shipping. Looking to get $18, a dollar a round. Live near basspro, work in Queen Creek. Thanks.

Lance is a great guy and so is his family! Honored to meet them one time. If I could make it to him I would grab a bit of it for my kids. They are right behind his daughter in age and size.

Ever change steering bushings on your truck?
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in The Campfire
Ok. Got the graphite infused bushings today in the mail from energy suspension Jumped right on it after running to the store to buy some more tools. Took about 2.5 hours by myself but that is because I took my time not to break anything and had the hardest time getting the tie rods disconnected. Had to take off one more bracket than planned for space but otherwise worked great! Greased the crap out of the bushings inside and out. Everything lined up great going back together. Need to drive it on the highway but otherwise it drove great on a short neighborhood trip. Thanks for everyone's help, especially hoss50! -

I have a toyota tundra and it looks like the rack and pinion bushings are bad. Shop wants $250 plus tax. The whole kit costs $25 for the poly ones. I have seen some people say easiest job ever. Some say worst and hardest job ever. Anyone ever try it themselves? Thanks. -

Do I grease the inside and the outside? Should I just stick with the rubber ones instead? Not mentioned online that I have seen about how to grease the poly ones. Thanks everyone! Really appreciate your experiences as they give me more confidence to tackle this one. -

Yes the rack and pinion bushings. The set of three. Was looking at the poly and not the rubber. Do I grease them heavily? Been trying to read up a ton and there are not many videos available surprisingly. Sounds like toughest part is pressing out the old bushings while rack and pinion is still attached but bolts out. -
Huge thanks to Conner! Great guy and awesome job giving a heads up to the site about job opportunities! Gotta stick together around here!
