I'm getting excited for Dove season!!!!
My Rights As An American replied to Big Browns's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Better than where I went! Took my five year old son to our normal spot on his first ever hunting trip. Shot a bird over the river that ended up in the river and some a-hole comes screaming out from 100 yards upriver claiming I was trying to kill him and his family, using terrible language and physically assaulting me! He actually shoved me in front of my kid! Had he been alone they would still be looking for him. But he had another buck toothed red neck piece of trash with him. Claimed I was illegally hunting. Huh, sheriff told me I was perfectly legal. For some reason he was not convinced. Funny how this drunk red neck thought he knew the law so well but could not form a coherent word through his missing teeth. A-hole made my kid cry and ruined his first ever hunting experience through foul language, assault and fear. He backed off when I threatened to call the sheriff. What a great f'ing first experience for my son. -
How are these still available for this price? Have you tried backpage or craigslist to spread the word?

Ok finally looking to get an AR and settled on the Ruger. Have some gift cards at BassPro and trying to price match to the lowest price in Arizona. Lowest I can find is $649.99 in stock. Anyone know of a cheaper listed price in Arizona new? Thanks for helping me save money!

When I used to work downtown, I would recycle our cans and bottles at a few places near work for about $1.25/pound for cans and about $.60/pound for bottles. The money would get split between my kids three ways. We would usually get around $75-90 each trip so each kid would get $25-30. They would then have to place almost all of it in savings for college and got to keep a bit for fun spending money. If they wanted to blow their spending money on a few cheap toys or save it up for a nice doll, train or other toy then that taught them not to spend the few dollars but to save. Great lessons all around about recycling, organization, savings and short term and long term planning and spending. Anyway, I live near BassPro and wonder if there is any place around me that people use for recycling cans and bottles that are reliable and near those prices. Any suggestions? Got a truckload that needs to go. I work in Queen Creek now and downtown Phoenix is no longer convenient. Want to keep the lesson going for the kids now that they are getting a bit older (9,8 and 5). Thanks everyone!

Recycling cans and plastic bottles
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in The Campfire
Ok just got back. Prices for cans were less than quoted. 34 pounds of cans and 73 pounds of plastic. Kids got a small bump in their savings today. Used to get at least twice for the same amount of cans and plastic but kids got something. Thanks. Will try to figure out best place for prices and location. -

Recycling cans and plastic bottles

OR if you use it and have the cans and bottles sitting around you can recycle them and help out and make a little money and help teach your kids to work? Yah I do not go searching it out. It is the stuff we use at home and the stuff from the kids' grandparents. We use it to teach life lessons, not how to recycle because you are too poor to do anything else. Great way for the kids to build a small account and teach savings. I personally do not make enough to pay someone else to teach them these lessons nor do I want rely on someone else to teach them these lessons. -

Excellent info! Thanks. Wow 500 pounds of copper. Aren't you afraid they will strip search you through TSA when you turn it all in at once? -
A bush! It is right there in the middle. Not too tough but I did look hard.

Recycling cans and plastic bottles
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in The Campfire
Thanks. Yes up here the clear plastic bottles like water and some soda but not milk because those are not clear plastic usually. A full garbage bag seems to be about 6-8 pounds for plastic. About the same for cans if not crushed. -

Yah that is pretty close just a few miles. Very ghetto! Not too bad a price though. Any idea on can prices?
