Anyone a Lowe’s authorized gas dryer installer?
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in The Campfire
They did but I was not there when buying it. It was bought in November and just delivered yesterday. I was told in November but thought they would mention it when scheduling. I forgot also since the purchase. Now I have to wait until Monday earliest to schedule one. They want $150 to swap it out. Seems ridiculously easy with an inline gas valve that can be shut off. Pretty expensive to unscrew one line and screw it onto the next line. -

Who is bored and wants to helps me figure out what the heck is wrong with my carb on my arctic cat? Need it for my hunt in two weeks and it is giving me problems. Pulled t and cleaned it several times but clearly I have no idea what I am doing. Pretty sure it is how the needle is sitting with the float, but I have no experience and the internet has not been useful. Near BassPro but can bring carb to someone who knows more than me (that threshold is low). Thanks! Cannot imagine it would take more than 15 minutes. Quad acting starved of gas or flooded at times. Jets look clean. Carb looks clean. Seems like no gas getting to the carb after cleaning it today. Thanks!!!!!!!

Carb on quad needs help
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in The Campfire
Thanks, that diagram is different than my model but I will download the correct one from your link. Thanks, finally got it to run after adjusting the needle and float again, pulling the filter and making the fuel go straight from the tank to the carb and replacing the electric choke with the manual after markets model. Running very rough though. Not sure I have the choke set correctly. ,any need to look into it. Thanks again! -

If either of the gps work I would love one. Mine broke last hunt and have not been able to replace! Thanks! -

Thanks, that is an amazing offer. I am deathly afraid to borrow from others for fear of breaking something. But I may take you up on the offer to possibly look at it if all of this does not work! Could definitely use some expertise on how to ensure the float and needle are correct. I am getting great at pulling the carb in less than five minutes! -

Pulled the fuel tank and fully emptied again (third time). Pulled the petcock and cleaned both filters twice. Cleaned petcock internals. Replaced fuel lines and filter to sparkling new. Cleaned all three jets thoroughly and can see through them no problem. Pulled main jet twice and cleaned thoroughly. Reset needle to sit nicely when closed and open when float allows. Electric choke broke so I am replacing with manual choke as the electric chokes are notorious for going bad on these. I think the needle and float valve are ok. Getting new manual choke Saturday and will install, fill with gas and try again. If that does not immediately resolve the problems fully, I am without a quad for the hunt. Too much energy to get this darn thing to run to not be able to trust it in the mountains. My hunting luck has been poor since I fell off the mountain and broke my leg. Cannot trust a faulty quad if needed. -

2005 arctic cat 500 trv. Fuel line not kinked. Float seems to be working just fine and it is really clean. Brand new in line filter between petcock and carb. Gravity feed fuel line and it is downward angled for flow. No kinks in line. Started right up this morning and runs fine for a few minutes then begins to clog up on the throttle after a few minutes. The electric choke seemed to come apart in two pieces so I stuck them back together and stuck it back in. Needle and spring separated from body. .??? -

I am wondering if it is now the electric choke. How would I go about testing that? They are very expensive to replace if not the problem. -

Pulled and cleaned all three jets, removed and emptied tank, new fuel lines, new fuel filter, cleaned carb inside, cleaned needle, new 1 gallon plus 91 octane fuel, added Lucas fuel system cleaner and lubricant. Fuel not getting into filter or carb now. Checked to make sure lines not kinked, lines not pinched from hose clamps, line is gravity feed and clear, fuel in tank, no vapor lock. -

I know there are lots of knockoff fake products out there. Are there Yeti coolers fakes out there with the Yeti name on them but not actually Yetis? Looking at getting a tundra 75 for a good deal but want to make sure I am not getting taken by a fake. Thanks.

Very cool of you! Lance being an All-Star again to someone! Good job!
