Pretty good price, free bump. Good luck. -
I asked a coworker who was my supplies person for a box of triple A batteries. She starts to walk away, turns around, and blankly asks me “is that the ones with two As or three As?” Here’s your sign.
-
And they are great for the kid's rooms! All three of my kids now have one in their bedrooms. They love them. Could not beat the price and they picked their own locker numbers! Thanks again!

Stormed knocked out power to my house last night for a few hours. When it turned back on at 11:30, the air conditioner was not blowing cold air, just the fan circulating air. About every 1-2 minutes, there is a loud but short noise that sounds a bit like a woodpecker on metal that sounds like it is coming from the air conditioner unit. Sounds like two metal pieces grinding briefly. Help, my family is hot! Unit is from the late 70s or early 80s. Need to fix it to save money for new one! Any ideas? Is the noise the compressor trying to turn on?
-
Yes package unit. Thanks.
-
Thanks for everyone's input. I could not pinpoint the sound last night until this morning but good advice to turnoff unit. Had I known it I would have.
-
Yeah, whole unit getting replaced. Fan motor and compressor toast. Will cost about 3/4 as much as a new unit. Unit is almost 40 years old and really inefficient. Bummer. Really not ready for a new unit cost.

Thanks. Capacitor is not bad after hitting up two stores. Looks like bad compressor. Need to call someone out.
-
No problems at all before the storms knocked it out. Yes, it is old like me, and makes a few random noises every now and then like me, but overall it was working just fine without any real issues. Storms came and power came and went a few times. Then when power returned late at night, it started making that noise immediately and no cold air.
-
Near BassPro, any recommended air conditioner repair companies not shady near me?
-
Ok, looked up a run capacitor. Definitely could be the problem. Lots of hard starts after the power went on and off many times through the storm. Should I just call an a/c repair company or is that a common part that is easy to replace? Thanks!
-
Sorry, no idea what that is. The sound is causing a big power draw each time. Sounds like something trying to turn on. Lasts about one second every 1-2 minutes. Is there a reset or breaker on the roof unit usually?
-
Alpine, my prayers go out to you man. So very sorry to hear of your loss. I have a funeral today for my 7 year old son's 35 year old baseball coach. Hurts to even to write this. My kids have been to far too many funerals in their young lives.

What side of town are you on?

Dang, good deal! Would love them but I would be skewered by my wife if I say yes!

Well, beer is 97% water or so, so take the number of ounces of beer drank X 97% for the water portion intake. Easy math! Very convertible to water portion control.

November. Not even sure about weather that time of year.
