We shot our Bull Elk in the rain last Saturday!!!

Thanks 6Anut for the great tips! My GF was able to land a nice young 5x5 Bull! She got one shot from 60yds with her muzzle loader and had a perfect lung shot! He ran about 10 yards and it was over! The weather was wet and cold but fortunately for us this Bull was out for a stroll!

Yes 6A your kindness was awesome! I agree for us seasoned guys it's tough to give away locations but when the ladies and kids want to join in it's nothing but a positive for us to share locations! I have my trophy Elk and will not hunt for another Bull for a while is my plan! I feel having one Trophy Elk for me is enough! My lady we will get her into better units as time goes on and she becomes more seasoned! More Women wanting to hunt can only help us men!

I am indeed lucky to have met someone who wants to hunt!! Now that she has one in the bag she already is looking forward to this next hunting season!!!!

Taking my GF for her first hunt and wanted to see if anyone had any good insight for me? Staying in Munds Park at the cabin she has! Going to try and find her a good Bull! Any advice is appreciated!!! Thanks

thanks everyone! Yes i have a large Audod as well as several other Africans and some nice whitetail!

Anyone have any good locations to check out? We will be staying in Munds Park and was looking between there and Lake Mary on East side of I-17. Any help or info would be great as this is her first Elk hunt ever!
