Well today while out picking up cams before the archery hunts open, I came across this poor little dog. Luckily, she was collared with a name tag. She was very hesitant to come close ,so I gave her the only food I had, a bag of jalapeno chips. As she was eating ,I was able to see the name and multiple phone numbers. After contacting the owners, I found out she was lost over 30 miles away from an adjoining Ranch and had been gone for over a month.I had to lay on the floor with her for about 30minutes to get her trust but eventually she realized I was there to help. Finally she jumped in the back seat.Needless to say, the dog got reunited with her family and my cam was still there. So today was a great day.Happy hunting everyone just wanted to vent.

He does also have a muzzy bull hunt to worry about so I'm gonna take his son up early for the opener and to him just being their with his son is good enough.

Our family has been blessed with tags this year so I am not complaining, their was no way I could just drive by her and leave her out in this 110* heat. And it was a bonus that it was a ranchers dog that has ten sections four of them private that I Now have Access to so yeah karma already kicked in.thanks for all the kind words I really don't deserve anything for taking my time to help someones pet who said Hunters are only out to kill helpless animals.

Yes he has the 27S tag his dad signed it down to him since this is the 2 nd year he hasn't drawn a tag. I have been doing all the scouting and planning as he has his plate full but he has started shooting with his son on the weekends so that's a good start.we sure will accept any and all help on this hunt and thank you to everyone who has already contacted me.

Well as luck would have it our credit card was hit for a single sheep tag.this is the first year I put the whole family inn for sheep including my 10&13 year old nephews..it is still unclear who drew the tag as we had 8 apps on the same card but most likely it's units 46A or 46B both very tough units..upon looking at outfitters they are mostly 1 on 1 guides or 2 on 1 and to top it off they wand additional charges if you bring a guest..so my question is this we have a hunting party of 10 and 8 of them use walmart binoculars like we can afford do we even stand a chance with a self guided hunt? I mean a guide is great and all but we want the entire family envolved.

yes Thank you for posting rose pictures really gets the blood pumping..I am sitting in Alaska as we speak gonna be back in a week by the time results become available..once I know who drew I will let you know the amount of points they had when drawn..being self employed and living in Tucson is going to give me the time to scout allot but still trying to find a guide that will let the family tag along at base camp

You mind sharing what outfitter your buddy went with..

I'm not worried about doing my homework as I always have. Like said I put in for these units as I have a good friend that has harvested a ram and the folloelwing year helped another hunter take ont of the biggest rams to come from the unit..he was published in a magazine and all that jazz..he told me if I ever drew the tag he will tag along..the main question I am getting to is are their any guides out their that don't charge a non hunter fee for family to come along..Worst comes to worst I'll do what my dad did as we were kids park on the side of a dirt road in your unit wait till you see other hunters/guides/ camps and just shadow them until I am familerized with the area...And Nobody said we can't afford good optics I just stated that most my hunting group still uses Wal-Mart binos and kill deer/elk year after year so they see no need to spend so much $....p.s if anybody needs any Roofing Work my company has been serving the Tucson area for over 60 years and I could use some new 15x56 binos.
-
Thanks for any and all input about these tags I have specifically chosen those two units as a family friend has hunted it 6-7 years ago so I have a starting point. Just don't want to put all our eggs in one basket..
