I got 2 can't beat these heaters.

Last year we had 3 late bull tags in unit 9 went scouting months prior found some bulls but when the hunt came we spent 8 days up their and saw 4 cows the entire hunt.

I used Alaska air and they they me carry it on both ways.

Anybody ever make it up tothe keni river during the salmon run. It's always hit and miss on the fishing if your too early you got 3 fish limits and if your too late you can miss the run.

+1 on the pse pro shop the also have the brute x ready to hunt for $350 or EVOS for $600. They will set you up right.

Well it never goes as planned but today I am happy it worked out that way. I have always set up camp at least one day till opener so I was pretty bummed I had to make a late start and leave opining morning 5 am. Truck fully loaded with my 4 year old son and his mother with enough gear to stay the weekend.we pulled up to "camp" at daybreak grabbed our packs and shot up the mountain to a spot I see pigs consistintly. After countless deer sightings and all our snacks being diminished in record time I threw out the idea to go set up camp and get some rest for the evening. At that very moment my significant other pointed out a herd of 15+ pigs in a arroyo adjacent to us had to get my little one sittuated then got her lined up with the 243. and 1 shot was all it took.But instead of the usuall stampede when you shoot up a heard they all just stood around at 150 yards like nothing happend giving me 3 opportunitys with the .44 mag dropping it cold in his tracks. So needless to say I never unloaded my truck and am already sitting at home cutting backstraps. Although it was one of my shortest hunts of all time I was happy to share the experience with my son and his mother.

Also if anyone knows of any halibut charters out of homer that would be great I there are a lot to choose from just want to see of anyone had a good experience.

Yeah at first sight the people threw me off but after hooking a couple fish everything else was a blur. I did try to do some fly fishing on the Russian river and got ran out literally by a grizzly within minutes of getting our flys wet.i will try again this year with a .44 on my hip.

A price will help those trucks roll forever I got a 94 with 280,000 miles and still a daily driver. Good luck on the sale.

Yeah thanks for the extra info it will be my second trip up there last time we fished the keni at Soldotna and did very well. We also did some halibut fishing outta homer wasn't too great but did catch our limit although small it was a great trip.As for the run I heard the same early to mid July is typically the start or ending of the run ill be leaving July 16 hoping to catch it..

I did the 12 a/b archery only hunt a few years back had no experience up their and living in tucson I had little to no time to scout but every day I ran into 20+ deer a day with at least a dozen of them being bucks I had a great time although it took me 9 days till I settled for a small 3. So far it's been the best hunt of my life.
