...the hard way! Never shoot somebody else's bow that is waaaay too long for you... I got 65lb of Hoyt string raked across my forearm at a high rate of speed lol! The good news is I was still able to sight in the 20yd pin on the old Barnett bow I posted about a month or two ago. New string, peep sight, bought a fletcher and some 3" vanes, field points, Muzzy BHs, and she's good to go! Just gotta sight the rest of the pins in now. Not bad for an archery n00b eh?

The whole article said they covered up their license plate on purpose so nobody got a plate #. But yes, innocent until proven guilty. I'll rephrase, I really hope these people weren't the ones poaching in front of the kids...

It was the draw length. That bow was waaaay too long. I should've never have even let the string go. They guy said it was a 31" long draw version...

I hink that's the one. The description says you can make the soft bleats and grunts of coues.

The ones that have been seen around the Picachos and Newman Peak were passing through or trying to get there and stopped by the freeway. We are working on fixing up the water developments on and around the mountain so it will be ready for some in the future. Ya know, last spring I saw a road kill on the side of I-10 right in between Picacho and Newman. It was at night, but I could've sworn it was a sheep. Passed it off as just a muley until I found out about the silverbell sheep and then I figured they could've easily traveled that far...

Looks good! I'm gonna have to try this recipe. Sadly sans venison though. Next year...

I had one at 40yds yesterday quail hunting. I was also trying out my pig call of the heck of it and it's pretty close to a predator call. I called, sat down and started messing with my backpack getting water and when I stood up he froze, turned around and trotted away...

Let's bust out the lynch mob! Hate poachers... Glad the story got out.
