This will be my son and my first deer hunt! Drawn in 6A. He's 27 but just starting to hunt. I'm very excited to spend time with him.. Only hunted this areas a couple times. Can anyone share me if the northern or southern part of this unit is better? Good luck to all.

My brother in-law called game and fish today. All cards have been hit. They have about 1000 left to call that for one reason or another the credits card did not process but then they are done. Guess it's bonus point time and deer season.

Can anyone explain why we are only allowed to get bonus points during the application process and not any time? I would think that they would like the cash any time. Still only bring able to buy 1 per species. Just wondering.

No I put in for elk, but forgot to buy points for antelope, sheep. I don't have a problem with the system just wish we had more time to buy them

I think you should be able to buy one any time. We can only buy 1 per any way. I don't get it.

Just bought a Weatherby 300win mag now looking for a scope

Was up south of Williams and saw no Bulls. Thinking about one more trip out for the day. I'm not familiar with this unit much and was wondering if someone would be willing to just point me in another direction. I'm more than willing to work not looking for honey holes. Thank you Bryan

First elk hunt with rifle. I have Win mag 150gr soft point rounds. Ok? or recommend a different round.

I should say that I've heard that the average shot will be 300 plus yards in Unit 8. I'm very comfortable with this gun to 300 yards. I haven't spent to much time over that. Practice time.. Bryan

Never hunted here before. I heard that it's a good unit and has some nice bulls.
