YA me two have a tag for dec and my wife had one last year was tough last year because of the warm wheather and all the guides that sat on the rim and whatch me. when i would get on a good Bull they would have thier clients shoot from a distance above me. Ya real safe!

Yes you have to call the number given by G&FD to see if the unit has been closed and if the sow limit is met fish and game close the unit regardless of what tags are left. Most of the time Guys used dogs and close some units inthe first week!

That is a awesome bull hard work sure payed off. I camp with the family every year up there and see some big bulls someday a might get a tag for archery a stick one. Congrats

Ya Know when I was younger the thought of that never occurred to me, then a friend of mine told me about a friend of his that he had hunted with. This guy had a unit 1 bull tag and he stated that his bull had to be over 350". Why? Because our mutual friend had killed a 350" bull the year before. He shot a bull that upon inspection he didnt think was big enough, and walked away from it. He ended up shooting a rag horn 5 point on the last day for the meat. My friend has never hunted with or to my knowledge even talked to that dude again. We went in and found that bull about a month later, he scores 343". Plenty big enough to hang on my wall! Guys that do things like that should be neutered in my opinion. Good luck to all those out searching for their bulls, and don't forget to ask for some help from up above! My daughter had a tag last year and the quiet area was hunted out followed the road around by mud springs there was tons of cows and the elk were all around she shot a cow but never recovered followed blood trail until it went cold look for two days. I will look at my gps but ever year we have went to the cabin they have been in the same area. Pm me if need be and i get the info to you

My 12 yoa daughter shot her first elk last year and same thing happen to her she was crushed after looking for two days foun nothing.
