well i think that i am going to go and get an OTC bear for the fall hunts and put in for the deer left over draw. would love to have either one. now when getting the OTC do you have to pic a unit or is it good for pretty much anywhere?

ok, so then the left over tags would be for rifle then? cause i thought that the non-permit tags were for the archery only. like i said in the beginning i am new to all of this. also can you go and get an archery only tag and then also put in for rifle left over draw?

is there a different app for archery and for rilfe? or will it be the same and just depends on the unit you pick?

sweet deal, really want to do the rifle hunt (so will have to go in the left over draw) but will take the archery if i dont get that. i was reading the regs and i am not seeing if you have to add another fee with the app? or is it if they pick your app then they will hit your card on file for the tag?

ok so sorry if i sound dumb here, but mail in an app, and they you are able to go and get them at say walmart? or do you have to mail in the app and then it will be a second draw? sorry but i am new to the whole hunting thing and feel really stupid that i can figure this out. thanks again

I think that I am going to work on getting gun hunt down and then work on archery. Have to get to know how the animals are and how close I can get!

Where is a good place to go for mule and elk?

I got drawn for 22 bear this yr and just couldn't find any signs, tacks or anything. That way for archery. Was north or payson on control rd. The only sing I saw was castle (cows) and when calling on the predictor I had an elk come in! And that bull was pissed

Oh ok. So if they have all over the counter then why do the draw?

I am guessing that they didn't allow over the counter for those here?

That is what I am hoping for. But for some reason people think that I am out for something other then a friend. I would just hunt alone and learn myself but I know its not safe and the wife told me it wouldn't happen!

i am heading out to the archery hunt in unit 22 in may for the spring hunt. now i have never been hunting in az before and my father in law is telling me that we should check out the mountians near bartlett lake (just east and off the beeline) and also check out west of rosevelt lake (near browns peak) and then also thought about checking out the areas in and around payson. also anyone have any suggestions on a good preditor call? thanks

what area is this in? i am going to my first bear hunt and i want to make sure to stay away from the area if i can? hope no one is just killing them, then leaving them. that is just not right
