Would he consider 600 cash?

Do you happen to have an aerial picture to show where these are located at exactly? Very interested just want to know a better location...

Bugling bull matriarch cow call. Its a reed call and works very well. I have that with a few select diaphragm calls that i carry at all times.

Sweet! 6B bull tag it is!

Oddly enough most of the times i can remember the full moon thing coming into play I also remember it being hotter than normal so i really cant say one way or the other which one holds more truth. I know last year for my buddies hunt it was 90ish degrees at camp during the middle of the day and that sucked especially when its 80+ out by 8 am and your hiking all over the country side. That being said we found that the lower warmer country in his unit had bulls still traveling in bachelor herds and when we finally got into them in higher country and it cooled down a bit the rut was definitely on. This probably doesn't help one bit, sorry!

All of this makes sense, but furthermore people getting upset that they didnt draw is like being mad that you didnt win the lottery. Its still a random drawing.....the key word in this is RANDOM. Unless you have the max BP's working in your favor you are subject to the RANDOM part of this drawing. As much as it sucks myself and a few good buddies plan on hunting out of state every year and the draw for elk in AZ is just a bonus at this point in time!

Dang, lot of bitter folks on here......

Pretty much new Vortex Ranger 1000 with case and box. I have 2 of these, thought i might be able to get my wife into hunting and it hasnt really worked out. I let a buddy use this one on a trip to Kansas last month and other wise its new. Asking 320.00. Shane 480-277-3120. I live in the Gilbert area. Thanks.

Was helping a buddy this weekend. Found that a lot of guys were just sitting back trying to call the bulls in. Where we were the bulls were bugling all morning but not moving in on one another. We moved between 2 groups of hunters blowing their bugles and cow calls non stop on 2 different occasions and got within 60 yards of 3 different bulls with relative ease. I am still very new at this, but it definitely seems like people get complacent with calling and trying to bring the bulls in like the shows instead of letting the elk do the talking and putting some miles on their boots. Saw a few small herds of cows with no bulls in sight....dont think the rut is in full swing up in the area we were in.

There have been a number of these threads now, and the only thing that should be coming out of this is that the person who shot the bull recovered the bull thanks to someone else being a stand up person. Why cant it just be left at that, every single thread has bee hi jacked by people discussing the amount of wounded animals and how people just make poor decisions. I would be willing to bet that before a site like this you probably had the same thing going on it just wasn't publicly talked about....and nobody could judge another hunter and his decisions with the exception of those people he told himself.

I have had 2 tags in this unit, filled one and my buddy filled his in that unit last year. It is a difficult hunt though, good bino's are a must and plan to do some hiking and a lot of spotting. I will send you a PM with some areas that we have had success in. And I couldn't agree more about the amount of tags considering the land restrictions.

Yeah, I mean in the end as long as the tag amount stays the same. I know the area I just hunted was running wild with guys blowing cow calls for days on end, and the better quality time of the hunt was during the week days when a lot of guys had to leave. Interesting thought here, I will give it that.
