  1. Not that I have enough to do it, but I often wonder; if you pay off your portion of the debt, do you have to pay anymore income taxes? For the yung'ns, it would be worth it. Just a thought to ponder as we wait for the draw results..

    25-35 load ?

I've tried to come up with a load, but over the years, have just bought all the 25-35 ammo I see 'just because'. I once wrote to Winchester and asked them what to use to match their factory specs. Been so long ago, I don't remember what they said, but when I tried it, it didn't seem to work well. (Must have been their secret ingrediant)
  3. It must be working...they said $500,000 and counting. Donations from all 50 states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico. Guess there are just a few people fed up with this mess.

    This sign is encourageing

Coues n Sheep. When you keep seeing people asking "Why can't/don't they..." its usually not because they don't know there is a problem, it is because they have CHOSEN not to address the problem. Your answer is spot on "..its not PC". Many of the politicians openly admit that they don't want to deal with it. Sorry, but when you ran for office, you were at least implying that you were willing to grab tough issues by the horns and deal with them. Well now you have your chance. Political Strength is what is needed now. The founding fathers of this country had it by the bucket loads. How did we get blessed with so many whimps?

    Sighting in Tucson

Saw a nice looking White over Brown Blazer e/b on I-10 @ 5pm. It got off on Palo Verde s/b. Again, nice rig.

    SB1070 Editorial

As I watched Calderon address Congress, the thought hit me...how come he gets to address them face to face? When was the last time a sitting President, Prime Minister, King, Queen, or what ever addressed our Congress, especially to chew our butts out. I can't ever remember seeing it happen, nor could I find any place that could tell me. Anyone know?

    AMERICAN PRIDE RALLY

Go to the Stand with Arizona rally and network around. Get some 'like minded' people to help you get yours organized. Look around, take notes and go from there. Some people can't see past the end of their noses and will only wake up when life happens and it slaps them in the face.
  9. Last year it was the question about gay marriage with the debacle that followed. This year, the question about Az immigration law, and again 2nd place for the correct answer. I see a pattern forming. The pagent needs to get better judges before their credibility is dragged into the ditch.
  10. I think that Rep. let him off the hook big time. After he admitted that he hadn't read it, I would have just gone ballistic and asked him what made him think, that as the US Attorney, he could come to one of these hearings so unprepared. That just shows the contempt that bunch has for the rest of the world. Couldn't even take the time to read 10 pages of a law before the hearing when he knew he was going to be asked about it. Extremely unprofessional, if not more.

    San Diego School District

Boycotting each other is not the best way to do things, especially when it is obvious you either didn't read the law (as US Attorney General Eric Holder just admitted) or you didn't understand what you just read. It is sad that the very first person to ask for and did in fact beat the boycott drum was our own US Rep. Raul Grajalva from Tucson. Asking to boycott your own state? What a representative.

    America

Sam, Don't be upset about having to print stuff in Spanish. When our Home Land Security person was gov., my wife, who still worked for the State, got a letter in with her pay check, totally in Spanish, explaining all the benefits that state employees receive. Just who do they think works for the state? People who are ONLY Spanish literate?

Audit of Ajo Unified School District

This is just a part of a large issue. When you drive through the Douglas HS parking lot and look, probably a third of the cars there have Sonora plates on them. Only makes you wonder about the entire school system there (elementary, middle and the HS).

    GM New Commercials

If memory serves, they weren't the only ones who claimed to have paid back their loans. I think that most of the banks also said they've paid them back. The one question that had be wondering was. "if you could pay that back sooo fast, did you really need it in the first place?"

Whether you think this bill is "constitutional or not" we all need to get up of the couch and get involved politically. Contact your representative and any others who need to hear what you have to say. Today is probably the last day to let Gov. Brewer know how you feel on this. If you haven't called her, or you know someone else how hasn't, remind them.

When you choose to break the law (be it in your country or anothers) you choose to accept the consequences. Theres nothing "racist" about that.

    Janet Napalitano

Maybe that will be the wake-up call needed for those who either; didn't vote, don't think their vote counts, or those who voted 'just to be part of something historical'. Ya, its historical alright. Carter won't be considered the worst president in history anymore. I knew we were in trouble when she spoke at the DNC and said that she had seen O's budget proposal and had never seen a better one. Of course, SHE wouldn't know one if she saw it.
  18. For those who contacted Kirkpatrick, don't feel bad. Several of us got the same treatment from Giffords: a canned response that read more like a campaign add rather than an intelligent response on an important issue. We need to see at least 50 or so of the Dems go on down the road. Can't wait until Nov.

    You be the POLITICIAN

Ok, 1. Tort Reform- any medical malpractice complaint must be evaluated by either a peer review board or a grand jury system BEFORE it can proceed. 2. While its against the capitalistic open market system, limiting the insurance companies to a 5-10-15% profit margin would keep them from gouging. 3. Portability- only way this will work is that it is govt mandated and the monthly premium must also be mandated. As a compromise, there may be a lifetime limit. 4. Lobbyist- they are not inherently bad, just that the people we voted into office forgot that they are OUR LOBBYIST and should remember that WE come first, not the paid lobbyist. 5. Is your current occupation "career public money moocher"?. Starting monday, you'll get on the bus and work on America's infra-structure just like they did in the CCC. You will get your check for the week when you get off the bus on friday. Term limits and campaign funding limits: two thumbs up!!

    Tea Party

I've believed and told people for years, "If you don't vote...don't bitch" I've also been very afraid that the silent majority/middle class won't wake up in time to stop the train wreck that 'is a commin'. Like Lark said, the Tea Party group has been active and have scared the career politicians. I may be naive, but what a politician is voted into office to do is what is best "for this country" first, and "his district" second, not what is best for his next election, or what kind of 'under-the-table, behind closed doors' deal he can make. Where is the personal integrity? The pride in this country and what you did to help? Best rule of thumb is to leave a place better than you found it.

    Have you noticed?

Call it Global Warming, Climate Change or what ever, things run in cycles (peaks & valleys-highs & lows). My question is, how do you know when you are "out of the norm" and not just moving from one end of the spectrum to the other? Tucson news announced a week or two ago that Jan 2010 was the wettest Jan since 1946. Ok, good for us, but is that climate change, an anomaly, or are we starting to swing back to a wetter period?

    Obama's Speech

Believe it or not, but yesterday's Tucson Daily Star had an article where the took parts of his speach, then followed it up with the facts. To no surprise to anyone 'cept truely loyal dems, what, if anything he said was just fluff and candy coating. Nothing of substance. At least they were honest and not left leaning. Thank them for that.

    Eye Opener

Sounds like two things: First, these groups are using the federal funds as operating capital to continue the cycle, and... They make a perfect example of why there should be a tort reform bill pushed through congress. We aren't going to get it via the health care legislation, maybe this is the avenue that should be used. So...was there a suggestion or call to action at the end of this letter or was it just an FYI?

    What would you do?

Sometimes I think people get hung up on the LETTER of the law but when confronted with one of those grey areas, maybe they should be looking for the SPIRIT of the law. Obviously HUNTING at night is agin' the law, but are you hunting or recovering? Acting ethically or not?

    javelina calls

I think ya'all outta just put the calls away and practice your stalking. They aren't hard to find and even easier to get in close. I've shot a bunch over the years. Closest one was probably 1 yrd. The farthest 30 yrds. Take that step up and do it without a call.
