Congrats on the tag, your a lucky guy.how many points did you have?I thank you nailed it on the head about having the muzz hunt before yours.they will kill some big bulls but having your hunt later is gonna be huge for rut activity.the elk are all over the unit, and yes there will be pressure from other hunters and guides and the 10 guys they will have with them but that's one price you will have to pay when your in a trophy unit like 9.that being said you can find places with less to no pressure.from my experience water can be hard to hunt at times cuz more then one person will want to sit the same tank.in one instance there was someone sitting this tank all day long so know one else could sit it, not sure if the actual hunter was in there the hole time but someone was.no comment.it's gonna be an incredible hunt and the best of luck.pm me if you have any questions,I've been there quite a bit,I will be across the road in 7w.I will trade you haha

Welcome,should be a fun time in 5bn

Crazybuck, the archery hunt can be pretty tuff with the low elk numbers and rugged country. It's wasn't to bad years ago but as of late it's declined.still some great bulls in the unit if you scout hard or know where to go.just my opinion

Killed a 330 bull and a 180 buck on back to back days in Colorado in a unit that takes 1 point to draw either one.like cmbbulldog said pick a unit and learn it and you will have success. love Colorado

Nice bull, you should have no problem topping that bull as you guys have won the lottery with 7 points, congrats on the bull and congrats on the tag this year,it's an awesome hunt

I had some problems finding one that would fit my ranger, maybe my ranger sits higher for some reason but I ended up buying a vortex 24'bumper pull. The older haulers don't have the retractable back bed so they didn't work for me, some of the newer ones could suck up the bed all the way to the roof.lots of options out there just depends how deep your pockets are.bought mine from a dealer down there in tucson and had lots of toy haulers.I will find out what it's called and let you know

That could be interesting, you could be in a real pickle. But I don't feel bad for you haha. I thank you are right on you guess
