Scouting this time of year will give you a general idea of where the elk are, try to find a place where there's not a ton of pressure which seems to be getting harder to do. 6a was a lot of big country that most people don't want to go in. The big canyons can be good to glass into for sheds

I never go with out my shotgun, have shot way more coyotes with it then the rifle. I have a 3 1/2 870 with a super full choke. 80 yards no problem

So with 18 points my dad finally drew 13b,it's been a long wait for a deer tag in our home state.anyways trying to find a good map so we can get to work,I like the flatline maps but it doesn't look like they make one for that unit.any good maps for that country or even gps maps,I've used them out of state and they seemed ok.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.congrats to everyone that drew.thanks
