I will soon have the opportunity to acquire a Bulldog ATV Rack for a great price. Looking for opinions from fellow members who have, or had, one. Or have experience with one. Currently I load my quad into the back of my long bed Dodge but there is little room left for other gear. I pull a pop-up and storage within that rig is limited so I need to expand my options. I've read several articles/forums already but what better venue than CWT.com to get input. My main concern is how well the rack secures into the bed and how it will hold up going down the many washboards roads here in Az. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the offer Elkslare. I'm getting the Bulldog for a great price and need to stick within my budget. Sounds like your rig is well made. Can't imagine someone wouldn't grab that from you in a heartbeat for the price you offered. @Viper - Appreciate the feedback. I'll be looking into the airbags for my truck soon. Need to do some research on those as well. It's interesting that your ramps are 12' in length. The ramps that come with the Bulldog I am getting are only 10' and the OEM ramps that came with the rack. I'll be setting mine so I can load/unload from the side versus the rear. I've thought about coating the ramps with coarse Grizzly Grip paint to aid in the slippage factor. Good advise all around. Appreciate your thoughts guys. I knew CWT would come thru with feedback. I'll post pics once I get it and load it for the 1st time.

Wow! Sorry to hear about that. And from a church area too. Hope Karma bites them in the butt big time. I too live in Chandler and will keep an eye out for your rigs. Especially when I'm passing thru the rez.

Had a very difficult time to get mine to work up in 4A/4B/3C. Ended up returning them. Lower elevations they seemed to work good.

Bumped. Sure would be nice to see this go to a CWT member.

Hunting with an order of protection - Questions/Thoughts needed
CJNAZ replied to naturegirl's topic in The Campfire
NatureGirl - This may not necessarily address your question about guidance but it could be something you can talk to G&F about. And, somehow get the new law message delivered to your Ex at the same time. New law signed and goes into effect 3-July - Protecting Hunters: Under H/B 2399, the Game and Fish Commission can revoke the hunting license of a hunter who harasses another hunter. -
I've read thru previous posts about tanning rattlesnake hides and will be going with the 50/50 mixture of Glycerine/denatured alcohol. My question is about the rattle itself. I want to leave the rattle on the hide. I've got a 3 footer and a 5 1/2 footer. Do I soak the rattle in the mixture? Update - I made these from the smaller critter. Went ahead and removed the rattles while tanning the hides. First attempt at leatherwork with a hide. Really enjoyed the challenge and it is a keepsake that should last a long time.

Rattlers are out already. Was out in 37B over the weekend and had 2 of them real close to camp. They're hungry and searching for love. The 5 footer I about stepped on was raised up and ready to strike well before the buzz alarm went off. Be careful!

I saw a video of the bear on AzCentral.com and it is a decent sized bruin.

Dynamite comes in small packages! My wife is quite the petite gal, barely over the 5' mark. She carries the Sig P238 and is scary accurate with that rig. And, like naturegal suggested, her rig is equipped with a laser. With the pinky extension 7 round clip she is not to be messed with. The P238 might cost you a few more bucks but if it suits the lady well then it is a small price to pay for confidence, and ultimately, solid protection.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he's a fine example of true American spirit. I share the same sentiment about my father every day and miss him every day. Take comfort in knowing you Mom & Dad are back together again in a better place. Condolences
