    Lost bull 4b?

Definately a bummer. Hate when that happens. I've got the early rifle hunt in 4B and want as many "live" bulls around as possible. Hope someone recovers it though. Yotebuster - sent you a PM.

    Utah Elk hunter gored

Don't know how this could happen but it did. Guess he was by himself. Good luck archers and be safe. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/09/10/utah-hunter-gores-himself-on-antler-elk-killed/?test=latestnews

    camp cook

I've thought about doing this numerous times. Just never threw the idea out there. I'm not a great cook but not a bad one either. I've got a decent kitchen setup. A very well seasoned smoker that can put out some great ribs and pulled pork. Have won a few BBQ competitions and use to vend BBQ at the Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo each spring. Dutch oven & deep fryin is in the cards too. I'd entertain the thought. Don't have much vacation time left after my Elk hunt this year. But weekends are mostly free. Just never advertised the concept. Figured most folks already have that part taken care of.
  9. I get it that if someone is "holding" a spot, it's not cool. I'm not referring to holding a spot or getting there first. I'm referring to - I have a camp setup, fill a tag and want to run my meat or cape to town. Or several towns, depending on the processor and taxidermist. Why would it be a sin to stay in town overnight then head back to camp the next day or two? If I take a week or two off work and tag out early I like to stay out for as many days as I can. Some people do this. I just don't think that is being selfish if I don't roll up camp just to return a couple days later, refreshed and restocked. I guess I'm old school though.

    Hunter Injured

Glad to hear he's gonna recover. Prayers to a speedy one and that he isn't too scared to go out again.
  11. I know this thread is mainly focused on "trailers" but I have also heard that NFS is removing anything camping related after 72 hours. Anybody know where I can find the rule about the 10 day timeframe? I remote camp, in a tent, with very little else. A shade canopy, chairs, table, cooking gear, ice-chests. If I had to return home for 24-48 hours I would leave my gear there but if I came back and it was removed by NFS I'd be bummed. I'd just like to see the rule in writing.
  12. Mr. Smith - I'm gonna keep the arrows with the bow. If it doesn't sell as a whole I'll just keep it. Thanks for asking though.

    100 elk killed- Crazy!

I saw that article. First thing I thought was who peed in the pool. Poisoned the water. At least the other critters around the area get to feast. What a shame. I sure hope we hear what the true cause was.

    Causes of wildfires

Check this you tube link out, it will raise the hair on your neck. UNREAL! the likely cause of the 346 homes lost in the Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs...and now 510 homes in Black Forest at Monument, 12 miles north of Colorado Springs, FIRE WARFARE - This is major crime running unchecked. This is why they waited so long to tell us what started the Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado. The public still has not been told what was used to start the fire. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=SFHM0rd9cX8

    Causes of wildfires

Wouldn't surprise me if that is how the Rim fire got started.

    Opinions on Craigslist problem

Refund the $ and relist. Don't wait on anybody like that. Next listing be sure to spell out your criteria exactly the way YOU want the transaction to go down. For that much $ I don't have buyers come to my home nor will I go to theirs. I meet in a public place, armed, with my wife or friend there with me. There's some crazy a$$ people out there, and for higher dollar items they'll club you and run off with your stuff. Protect yourself from the B/S.
  21. Hughes - I am not sure as I have not tried but the "peak" weight is 65 - 80 pounds. So I am guessing you could go a bit lower.

    XX

This guy is responsible for the purchasing of weapons and ammo for DHS. Wonder if he is behind the massive purchase of .223 & .40 ammo that has made it difficult to find nowadays?
