My how the times have indeed changed. Back in the early 80's I was buying 22LR ammo from behind the counter at a 7-11 on the NW corner of Guadalupe & Alma School. Then driving South a few miles and hunting.
-
I can't understand why 22LR is still MIA. I can buy 223, 40, 38, 357, 7.62 all day long now. 50 round boxes and bulk 1000 round containers. But 22 LR is rarely available at any store. What gives?

Ocotillo lakes are not on the Urban program. Most of the fish in there are carp and talapia. Not too many people realize that most of the water used in those lakes is effluent water. Treated waste water. I just hope the guy didn't "relocate" those fish into an Urban lake that is down the road aways.

I bet of that broad was out walking her dog and got seriously mauled by a bear she would forever shut her pie-hole. Totally makes sense that a person of that mental aptitude would be a V/P of that organization. Now, if only I could get back those few minutes of my life that I lost while watching her rhetoric.

Don't really need more than what I have. A quality gun safe would be nice. My wish? To find a good Toyota mechanic that can help me fix the gremlin in my truck so I can get out and hunt again. No 4X4 makes it tough to get out.

Curious - How much are the dry cleaners charging to do a sleeping bag for you?

Gut wrenching story. I'd have made the same decision. It makes me wonder if he was wearing a safety harness or ? Prayer to his family. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/11/06/facing-grim-prognosis-indiana-hunter-paralyzed-in-fall-from-tree-chooses-to-end/

Now that's not the way to encourage us newbie predator hunters!! I'm planning on heading out this weekend to give it a try. I can only hope to get one to come into the call. To me? You did well!

Way to go. Great first bull and will look sweet hangin' high on the wall.

Great video! I don't know what unit you are in but the Elk were letting it rip. Last weekend in my unit they were awefully quiet. Look forward to the conclusion. Good luck!

So what happens in this scenario? You can only go back up on the weekends or for a couple days at a time to seach for the animal you KNOW you hit hard. The hunt ends and you find a downed animal that you firmly believe was the one you hit. Can you still wrap your tag around bone and at least recover the skull and/or antlers? Or is that a violation because the hunt ended?

Great bull!!! Congrats. And I like the way you got him in the trailer. I might have to try that if I get lucky in 2 weeks. Congrats again!!
