+ 1 to the above ... just returned from a unit 1 and 24A ,7 day scouting/looking trip.In 24A saw 3 shooters bucks for My late Dec. deer hunt,covering country from extreme-EXTREME.Lots of square miles and likely most all good.Good boots and glass a must for sucess,just my $.02 ...

usually yes,but a few Season back 13A had better quality taken.Those B.C. bucks travel between both units ? ... and FYI, 13B bucks go West into Nv. unit 27, OH MY !!!

most will agree that "The Strip" is most coveted mule deer tag in all the West ? These units are managed for older aged bucks,i.e. Trophy Hunts for a better word ... ALL units,below the Canyon are managed for Opportunity Hunts,though some genetics are likely their,as well ? All serious Mule Deer Hunters should have this "13 Tag" in pocket at least once in their lifetime,Good Luck

always a good time in the hills,and glassing up game ... keep looking in those "Recent" burns ? Plenty of new deer forage with recent monsoons.When in 7W,always see plenty of deer in/around Hobble Mtns,just a thought.Myself off to unit 1,this next week to look around and see how elk are doing for end of Sept. rifle hunt ... I have owned 2 Pudlepointers,hunt partner has one also.This great breed will hunting "Anything,Anywhere" ... 1 breed that does it all !!! Ours have come from best breeder ... Bob Farris and Cedarwood Gun Dogs in Boise,Id. All other breeders likely have his dogs in their lines.Good choice,and The Mrs. will like because this breed "Doesn't Shed" ... LOL

How is the unit 10 "Scouting" for Your upcoming Lopes hunt going ? No word of late ... Been on this hunt several times over last 1/4 century, and with out a doubt unit 10 antelope are the "Wildest" I have ever hunted ??? Spot em from 2 miles away,start all stalks from a mile away and be able to hit a paper plate sized target in the field from 400 yds. away.Then if you are more "Lucky than Good" ... a Buck that the unit is famous for can be Yours ... myself always have "ALL" ? F.S. Map,30X60 Topo & Garmin "Colorado 400" GPS,when in these Az. units

alot of country for a Buck to get old in ... stay away from the ranches and hayfields where most of locals will be Hunting ... Good Luck in The Silver State

good advice from above,especially about "Buffs" ... have been in "Kaibab" since 1989,and have seen 3 elk !!! But have seen many "Buffs" on top on West & East sides on early deer and muzzie deer hunts ? Never on late deer hunts ... Buy a tag if can,a good gamble,a Great place to be come Fall ... The Kaibab

with 6 B.P. drew a late Dec. WT tag in 24A ... New to site,but looks like a great place to learn ?
