Walking thru high grass, usually is chiggers from my experience. It takes a long time for them to go away. I think we had to use rubbing alcohol ?

During the hunt? I know it really pisses me off when someone tries to claim a spot a week or more before the hunt. If your hunting, hang your stand, first come first serve. But leaving it there, when your back in town, to get first crack on a spot, that's not right. I've never taken anyones equipment but the thought did cross my mind....then I recovered my senses.

The rut..... temperature. Watch a week of hot weather in Sept. and see what happens with a 1 or 2 day cold front.

I've never seen a helicopter flying low, looking for elk. When are the surveys done? When they have antlers I guess?
