Alright Devin, I'm starting to get sick of seeing your wife (and your parents, and you!) with trophy animals every year. I'm going to have to ask the Beck family to go back to hunting with sharp sticks, or sling shots, or harsh words - something, anything to even the playing field out for the rest of us out there.

sounds like a 'but I put it in the basket on the back of the quad' finds... wonder how many times he re-drove that road looking for it...

amazing that they could make something people call a toad-pig-beast so pretty...

Not to be snarky, BUT: 1) If it is actually raining there is going to be noise coming off the drops impacting everything, 2) The only time you are going to 'need' a jacket in AZ is in December/January, AND be above 5000 feet, 3) Stalking a buck is a lot different than just hunting - you are going to be giddy'd up into all your stocking feet, face mask, etc - and are probably going to take that jacket off anyway to free up your movement. 4) If it isn't actually raining at that moment, you can just carry a $4 poncho (which covers you, your backpack, and you can huddle 2 people under it in a shower) Basically what I'm saying is - go with fleece, or micro suede, carry a poncho, save $200; but take that jacket off before you ever try and stalk a deer.

Is that guy the thief? Or does he just likes to piss on other people's stuff? Which is worse?

FATHEAD!

I dug this up off Google Scholar just now - there is an elk skull from the Santa Catalina dated 1884 The question now might be: Why aren't we putting elk back into the Sky Islands?
-
I knew there were some in the Pinalenos -- but doesn't AZGFD state that historically there were not elk there - and that is why they are offering OTC tags in those areas?
-
Did anyone tell those guys that the buck is dead already? Game over.

that room needs a muley....
-
A few rules suggestions: The Mullins should be the judges, anyone who hunts with or sees a Mullins on their hunt are disqualified, all Mullins must post pictures of their bulls before the blood clots or rigamortis sets in.
-
will someone jog my memory with a link to the buck that was killed, I'm a little befuddled by that bone at the moment.

sweet eyeguard, go find that match!!!

watch 'Gasland' on HBO or DVD!

Probably the most shocking documentary I've seen in years. For anyone who thinks documentaries are made by liberal fools, watch it, and see conservative families across the US sickened and dying without representation. I'll wager that the negative effects on mule deer and antelope will be widespread and directly correlated to gas fracturing 'fracking' in future student thesis and dissertations, peer-revied journals, and even hunting mags. Educate yourselves and your families, hopefully before you sign that fat mineral rights release. -

Here is info on the 2005 energy law, and on Hydrofracking Both Kyl and McCain voted against the 2005 act, the republican block in the house voted for it, the 2 dems against.
