It didn't take long for me to stop burning black powder in the rolling block and trapdoor. I'm trying a recipe from Ed Harris's 'The Load' using 12grains Red Dot. Anyone else loading smokeless for low velocity rounds? What recipe works for you?

My last "Hawken" rifle acquisition.
Edge replied to Firewater Forge's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
I bought the TC Hawken .54 on this sight for around $200. Took it hunting last fall as a backup but forgot to take those little canon balls too, so it remains unfired. I installed the enclosed ignition conversion so I could use 209s and Blackhorn. Only difference between the TC Hawkens and the Renegade is furniture, brass patch compartment and an extra 2" on the barrel. Cheap wooden ramrod you're going to want to replace pronto. Let's go shoot it. -
Anyone ever hunt the saddle mountains in tonopah a Az unit 41?

I rockhound out there; fire agate, quartz crystal. Lousy footing, mostly those aggravating round lava softball rocks, jackrabbit and coyotes Eagletails the better choice. -
Yup. Went on the Harley Liberator. Wondering if that's a bayonet Scabbard attached.

So I've just returned from chronographing the 45 70 Red Dot loads with Bucksandbulls. 12gr and 13gr loads with a 405gr cast lead out of a breach/break 32" barrel were exactly as advertised on the graph. When loading 15grains the extra 3 grains only saw a net gain of about 50fps.

4x4, Warn hubs, new tires BF Goodrich with spare. Extra 4 stock rims w good tires. AC blows, little rust, main seal leaks some, which also blows. 5spd, Jensen stereo. GN, trailer package. Only blemish, ol lady kissed a pole barn doing about 40mph backwards. Custom exhaust new clutch. Only 300k miles. No lowballers, no haggle, I know what I have. $37500 cash or trade for 2020 Dodge Cummins with similar equipment.

Silly. We all know it was the pangolin.

Had a lot of family; by marriage, that ate bat. Paniki was offered to me on occasion in the southern Philippines where the fruitbat is considered a delicacy. Anthony Bourdain ate some on his series and look what happened.

Also, I don't have much experience in creating a rear main seal leak. It's a slight leak but one of my multiple personalities with OCD is trigger by it. Of course it's a one piece seal with a honkin transfer case in the way...

Ahhh. I was recently passing thru Beatty, NV and Rhyolite is just a few miles west. Love Beatty, neat little oasis in the desert just about an hour and a half NW of Vegas. Next trip I'll visit Bodie, too.
