I camp with others about half the time but always hunt alone.

Got up to frost and temps hovering around freezing. Hope this doesn't hurt the tomatoes. Noticed on radar around 5pm last night it was snowing in the White Tanks.

Data from lions wearing radio collars confirms the obvious need for lioness's to spend much more time hunting than do males. A lioness being tracked on her forays mainly in GMU 42, showed she was active from about an hour before sunset to about 9am. Her male counterpart in the same area slept in till roughly 9pm and retired at sunrise.

I refuse to watch/look due to my love of dogs. Sounds like a Brooklyn lib transplanted into the wilderness, such stupidity. Once when coming out of the Superstitions, my trail dog was about 50 yards ahead of me. That was pretty typical but all at once he spun around and raced back to me, highly unusual. He'd caught the scent of a lion up ahead. Lion was perched on a boulder above the trail. He jumped into the trail and in another jump, was going down into a deep, steep canyon. Pretty sure he wanted my dog to have joined him down there for a meal. I had a rifle in the scabbard but was caught off guard, happened so fast. Nearly always having a dog with me I've determined not to let something like that happen again if I can help it..

I've been pleased enough with my Duras to have gone with them again and again. One fella on CWT complained to me that the Dura Trac hooks up so well off road he had to be careful not to spin the rim at the bead.

Can I shoot a Triceratops if it's wearing a AZGFD radio collar? Calling the Triceratops during the rut is problematic. You'll often call in a T-Rex or Allosaurus too looking for a Trip Tip meal. But they're not in season. Better have great cammo.
