  1. Ya'll wrong, there should've been a third and correct choice in the poll. It's pronounced Coo as in Cuckoo. Like all silly French words, the last syllable is silent.

    first time mule deer hunt

zeke-BE It's true aint it! I see herds of mulies north of the lake and some dang big bucks, too. Been leading trail rides out north of there for years and have often seen good numbers of them long eared deer and one of the biggest bucks I ever seen. Bag one with a bow and you're a hunter worthy of homage or dang lucky. I got one other spot closer than the lake with deer, but It's top secret.

    OK, who does this?

Coach is one of the good guys. He asked a question, I answered with colorful illustrations, This IS how I deal with other hunters. PS I thought that was UT

thinking its "funny" to kill a deer

I downed a cow elk in 27 decades ago. My dad pushed a small herd thru the brush at me and next thing I know I was in the middle of a stampede. Wheeled around and shot a departing elk in the behind, the bullet travelled along under her spine so she didn't die instantly. When I got to her, she laid looking towards her departed herd while crying, sounded a lot like a human baby. Pointed my rifle at her head and dad said don't shoot, she'll be dead soon. I disobeyed and ended her suffering Will carry that image and sounds with me the rest of my life.

    OK, who does this?

It's common to see rigs belonging to others at trail heads. But if I see hunters where I'm hunting, I didn't go far enough. Almost 40 years ago, some yahoos got into a squabble with me in 27 over a buck I downed. They claimed to have shot it same time as I, then said they had been trailing it...whatever. I was determined to get away from the crowds About a week ago, I had a dream where my pack horse was shot by a deer hunter. So MULEPACKHUNTER comes by the other day and we chart out where we are going, he knows 22 and gives me about a 99% probability of not seeing another soul. But to those of you whom cannot get far back into the sticks, you can use the other energetic bushwackers to your advantage and let them drive the deer to you. Hunt smarter.

  18. Atmosphere variants certainly make a difference. When I worked in aviation meteorology, we continuously recalculated an aerodynamic value called Pressure Altitude. Barometric pressure, temperature, humidity all have a direct impact on flight characteristics.

    Guides-and using them

For the purpose of conversation, lets separate guides from outfitters; something AZGFD can't seem to do. I've often asked myself the same question, 'Beardown,' But I can easily answer my own question. Were I drawn for bighorn, I think I might hire one. I have been spending countless hours in bighorn country last several months, pursuing lion , I see the sheep tracks, scat but not them. Also if I had a buttload of dough and anxious for a lion, I'd hire a friend and neighbor who's a houndsman.

    Trail Horse $2200

Short answer is yes. To her, getting her feet trimmed is like a lady going to the day spa, loves having her nails done. I boot up her front toesies for rides and leave her backs au natural. She's never had shoes.

    Trail Horse $2200

Zazzy is 4-5 year old grade sorrel filly, about 14.2hh. She is being trail ridden 4-5 days a week and introduced to barrels and poles the other days, she keeps a full calendar, loves chasing and cutting steers. She will go down the trail alone or in groups of any size. Wildlife along the trail does not phase this mare. Once a rider mounts, she is cool, collected and focused like a laser beam. We've owned and worked with this horse a year, she has no issues or vices, smart and anxious to please. Loads, stands quiet, good with feet She's a smaller mare suitable to youths or smaller adults. Were she built to carry our demanding loads, she absolutely would not be for sale. I've owned a lot of horses, animals of this filly's caliber are rare and won't come along often.... Partial trades for hunting gear possible, come and throw a leg over her. 623 707-3420
