Yup, AK first, probably buy an island in the passage while I'm there and hire lingerie models to build a cabin, boathouse and a fence so they can't escape.

Hmmmm. Do i know you? I also frequented that wash with the Daisy.Parents bought in the area (1960). Graduated PVHS in 74. Currently live about a 1/2 mile from the home I grew up in.Ok you got about 16yrs on me so nice no know primative man hunted same wash with daisy bb gun. While at Walmart yesterday, I noticed the Daisy came in pink too for the little lady shooters. Also prominent on the air guns packaging was the glaring children's faces wearing ballistic eyewear. When I was a kid shooting yours or your buddy's eye out was a badge of honor. And meant you could now accessorise like a real pirate.

Mike, find out where these relatives lived, chances are they didn't travel too far to hunt. Picture is maybe 70 years ago.

That's an old coin Oneshot but not 1781. That's Queen Victoria on a British or Canadian coin. Coin would have been struck sometime during her monarchy 1837-1901. I found an 1872 Victorian silver half dollar outside an old bunkhouse in southern NM. It's pretty worn, wonder how many poker games it was in?

awesome finds, Explorer, love to have found those shears. I saw a similar kleated driving shoe at a gun emplacement, Ft Craig, NM. Maybe a mule threw it pulling one of the forts 6" brass Howitzers during the battle of ValVerde? Fun to think so, anyhow.

Yeah and I see a lot of corn grinders, mortars and metates where there is no longer reliable water. Lots of climatic changes over the millenniums. It's all man's fault. Al Gore warned us this would happen.

They're everywhere. Last fall in gmu 9, I pointed out at least 5 to a guy I was hunting with. i guess i need to train my eye to see themExactly. They're normally made of igneous stone, occasionally petrified wood. They're easiest to spot in sandstone country where igneous isn't native. Look for rock with tooling marks and lithic scatters on the ground where stone tools were made and knapping occurred. But don't touch unless on private land.

a lot of water bottles and pampers. I frequent battlefields, ghost towns, forts and museums. Pulled in to tour Ft Union, NM and they were excavating the latrine for artifacts. Had pulled out pistols, boots and lots of uniform buttons. On a visit to Monticello, VA. archeologists were digging out Jefferson's latrine.

Pretty sure it is still illegal to remove any Indian made artifact found on state or federal land ... everything like arrowheads, pottery , beads , ect... is suppose to be left . please let me know if I am wrong . Heck, I'd be scared to take any kind of native american artifacts I've found in the field. Something would make me feel like it's bad juju.Like this 4th century Mogollon burial pot and beads?Exceptions to the antiquities act include mineral, coin, and artifacts on private property like these were.
