True. Along the border, the illegals just want to get from point A to B with no fanfare. -

Was archery hunting in 34b once. Hid along a game trail where I had missed a shot at a nice Coues the day before. No sooner had i settled in when I see a platoon of illegals marching towards me on the trail. No drug packs just illegals marching north to get around the checkpoint on Hwy 90. They were probably heading another 10 miles to I-10. They passed so close I could smell them. What a rush, I could have stuck my foot out and tripped them. They were probably from Central America cause man were they tiny, barely 5'. Suddenly realized they were heading straight to my camp where my wife was alone. So I fell in behind the illegals and followed them until I was within pistol range of camp and I got on a bank where I could watch them. When the illegals leader saw my camp, they dropped down into a wash directly below camp and kept trucking. They passed within 50' of my old lady who was sitting beside the fire, reading a text book. She never saw a thing. -
You can still appreciate this short video. http://www.breitbart.com/video/2016/05/23/dying-paralyzed-veteran-granted-final-wish-of-seeing-horses/

It's had its ups and downs. Drove past it once years ago after a fire gutted it. Probably first went in it with my pops 45-50 years ago, my dad had an account there. The image of that skull has always stuck with me.

What dates are the hunt?

I didn't draw it but looked at the Abajos out my back porch for years You're going to have a great hunt. This is about half way between Blanding and Monticello, Abajos in the background.

I think it's awesome your son saved up his own money for this. I can see a lot of possibilities for these like Search and Rescue and law enforcement. Good jobs for good pilots in the future. Maybe have him log his hours for reference down the road.

You can stand right in front of them. They're used to hearing rabbits and skunks shot around them A little work and you can shoot from the saddle if you'd like, I'll film it.

Don't know it.You get drawn, let's do it. Two years ago I emerged from the treeline to notice Big Red staring ahead at a small Antelope herd not far from your place, Gary. They didn't seem too concerned about us. If you look to the left of Red, you can see their dust, we got pretty close without really trying. Sometimes I'm just slow with the camera.

I was just reading where this is being outlawed; WY maybe? But heck, I thought flagging would be illegal, it works great. You're a pretty big boy, Gary. Send me a deposit for my draft mare. Lol first time I rode her with MulePackHunter along, he said I looked like a postage stamp on a big, big parcel.

That's a big unit. My grandparents ranch was between Bayard and Gage. It stinks but it's common for the ranchers to put out No Hunting and No Trespassing signs even where there were public right of ways and leased land from the state and Feds. IE, the old folks place was on 78000 acres but only 640 acres was private the rest leased from the state and public. Get an up to date land ownership map and wouldn't hurt to obtain the wardens name and cell number in case something came up.
