Shot placement won the day this time. I've chosen to carry nothing less than a .357 in black bear country. One of my coworker's spent 2 years at Ft Richardson, AK. Whenever they went afield, someone in the squad was assigned bear duty and given a 12ga w/ slugs.

Mine was a local fledgling serial killer. He murdered two young women in Phoenix and bragged about killing more that won't be found. Twice he's been sentenced to death and when given the opportunity he has attacked guards and other inmates. Point guard? I served 4 mos on a jury 11 years ago. It was tough and emotional but we the jury did our job. I read the other day where some liberal judge overturned our sentence and gave the murdering bastard a life sentence. So who needs juries?
