I've been going out at night for years. And yes the adrenaline really gets pumping and there is some panty wetting. Perhaps that's why I've only found a couple others willing to venture out at night.

35 years ago today was supposed to be a good day, was my 2nd year anniversary in the USAF and I sewed on my A1C stripes the day before. I was on duty at Luke that morning a Natl Guard KC135 was doing routine touch and goes. A civilian aircraft entered military airspace and in an unusually low cloud bank collided head-on with the tanker. I was taken to the wreckage sight the following day to answer NTSB questions concerning the wx conditions at the time of the collision. Was a nightmarish sight. KC-135 - Fatalities LTC James Floor, 53 Maj Truman Young Jr., 48 LTC Ted Beam, 40 TSGT Donald Plough, 47 http://arizonawrecks.com/visitthewrecks/kc135.html Cool find, Adam. I read where there are 1200 military plane wrecks in AZ alone. Many are still out there waiting to be discovered. Tread lightly friends, many of these wrecks are pilots, crews and airman's final resting place.

Luke lost a lot of A-6's during WWII in the hills north of the base. Here's 4 of them... http://www.aircraftarchaeology.com/crownkingat6.html http://www.aircraftarchaeology.com/at6lakepleasant.html I've been to the sight of a 40's era bomber crash site, east side of Rincons. There's an F86 crash site on Burnt Mountain. The pilots body has never been located. Hunters found the crash site 15 years after the plane went down including the ejection seat.

Viet Kitchen 101/Cave Creek. I dine there with the family most every Sunday after church. They had to raise prices some after the burger flippers voted themselves a raise but still can treat 7-8 for around 100 bucks. It's a small restaurant and I doubt they take reservations. If you get there smack dab in the middle of meal time, you may be out of luck. -
Great lion huntin legacy and pics.

just 15-20 miles northeast of my ol place. My first time fly fishing was on the Skookumchuck River in Western WA. There was no vehicle access, had to mountain bike up the Weyerhauser roads. Found some beautiful rainbows in holes along the creek. Got my first two Columbian blacktails in there as well. Went fishing and hunting between 1994 and 2001 in there and never once encountered another person.

Happy birthday. What does a Desert Bull do to celebrate another solar revolution?

hear ya, would make 5 for us. And I call my gf the Collector. But I'd still take him rather than the alternative.

I knew I was going to catch some flack over posting this. Fact is "Moby" has been very well taken care of. He has spent many a night in an expensive "doggy day care" while my sister was out of town working as a child advocate to make sure that our tax dollars were properly applied for State funded day care centers, for children. Believe it or not she's tore up about it. She hopes to do the responsible thing and find him a place where he won't be an apartment dog in Seattle. Absolutely the right place to look for a home for hounds like Moby. CraigK, if the stars align for your family and Moby, I'm certain there are a thousand folks on CWT willing to help out with transportation, myself included.

Yeah so long as you don't ask if there's room or enough gravel to use a small tractor. This could automatically disqualify you from using a wheelbarrow?
-
I'm hoping someone comes forward to take this dog. If not I ll probably foster home but it need not go to the pound. Looks like a fantastic yeller hound.
-
I'm your Huckleberry. Enough gravel/room for a compact tractor?
-
If no one comes forward, I'll make room for Moby.

Thanks for the feedback, Tim. I'm getting the nutrition part figured out. Too bad we're on opposite sides of the valley, or we could get together and train martial arts. That would be awesome. Would greatly benefit from having someone to spar and practice techniques with. Pretty tough doing joint locks and disarming imaginary foes.I'll drive to your house once or twice a week then vice versa? Are you guys going to do Karate in the garage? I have key to a dojo on my side. Cross streets? I drove across town for years to practice under a Kenpo sensei at Germann and Alma School. CWT fight club, I like it.

I do my own processing but am going to give Millers a free plug since they have chosen to process game harvested thru Hunts 4 Heroes, free of charge. -
Here's a few things I see working for other seniors... Cut out the carbs and watch those calories. Maybe download a calorie counting app.. Smaller portions at meal time Cut out the snacking on any unhealthy foods and drink plenty of water. Sometimes when I'm feeling a little hungry, I reach for the water and when I do snack, it's healthy and minimal to hold me over till the next meal time.

Got the opportunity to participate in another H4H hunt Fri-Sun. At first glance, the vets appeared a little more beat up than did the Nov. elk hunters but man, the three guys pig hunting were truly impressive in spirit and strength and once again I felt grateful our country still produces such warriors. TBI's, gunshots, amputations, lung disease, smashed vertebraes... crushing injuries but not a single broken will to succeed. 20B was a zoo but fortunately, we had a volunteer that had patterned a large herd, and the hunters had chances daily to tag out. Joe was first to dump a javi at 275 yards. Thought he missed with the first shot since the pig just walked in a 180' circle, so Joe let loose with another 22-250 and the pig tumbled down the hill. Joe was anxious to gut and skin a kill for the first time, only asking for a couple pointers. The next morning was Jason's turn. After locating a sizeable herd, he dropped a nice boar at about 200 yards. A lot of smiles and stories around the campfire and life long friends and memories made. I want to thank my friend Derrick Bivins for all his help with camp. And thank you to Alli Lubash for his unselfish help on this hunt. Alli had a javi tag also but wasn't going to shoot unless the vets tagged out first. So he went back out today to fill his tag but found a bobcat instead. That'll work!
