Yeah so long as you don't ask if there's room or enough gravel to use a small tractor. This could automatically disqualify you from using a wheelbarrow?
-
I'm hoping someone comes forward to take this dog. If not I ll probably foster home but it need not go to the pound. Looks like a fantastic yeller hound.

I'm your Huckleberry. Enough gravel/room for a compact tractor?

If no one comes forward, I'll make room for Moby.

Thanks for the feedback, Tim. I'm getting the nutrition part figured out. Too bad we're on opposite sides of the valley, or we could get together and train martial arts. That would be awesome. Would greatly benefit from having someone to spar and practice techniques with. Pretty tough doing joint locks and disarming imaginary foes.I'll drive to your house once or twice a week then vice versa? Are you guys going to do Karate in the garage? I have key to a dojo on my side. Cross streets? I drove across town for years to practice under a Kenpo sensei at Germann and Alma School. CWT fight club, I like it.

I do my own processing but am going to give Millers a free plug since they have chosen to process game harvested thru Hunts 4 Heroes, free of charge. -
Here's a few things I see working for other seniors... Cut out the carbs and watch those calories. Maybe download a calorie counting app.. Smaller portions at meal time Cut out the snacking on any unhealthy foods and drink plenty of water. Sometimes when I'm feeling a little hungry, I reach for the water and when I do snack, it's healthy and minimal to hold me over till the next meal time.

Got the opportunity to participate in another H4H hunt Fri-Sun. At first glance, the vets appeared a little more beat up than did the Nov. elk hunters but man, the three guys pig hunting were truly impressive in spirit and strength and once again I felt grateful our country still produces such warriors. TBI's, gunshots, amputations, lung disease, smashed vertebraes... crushing injuries but not a single broken will to succeed. 20B was a zoo but fortunately, we had a volunteer that had patterned a large herd, and the hunters had chances daily to tag out. Joe was first to dump a javi at 275 yards. Thought he missed with the first shot since the pig just walked in a 180' circle, so Joe let loose with another 22-250 and the pig tumbled down the hill. Joe was anxious to gut and skin a kill for the first time, only asking for a couple pointers. The next morning was Jason's turn. After locating a sizeable herd, he dropped a nice boar at about 200 yards. A lot of smiles and stories around the campfire and life long friends and memories made. I want to thank my friend Derrick Bivins for all his help with camp. And thank you to Alli Lubash for his unselfish help on this hunt. Alli had a javi tag also but wasn't going to shoot unless the vets tagged out first. So he went back out today to fill his tag but found a bobcat instead. That'll work!

Nice write up, great pigs.

Successful night time lion callers have been using a terrier to alert them when a lion comes within sniffing distance. I would love to take my Heeler calling but he tends to attack me whenever I use a call.

Lemme know if you ever need a major mowing...

Just got this pic of Joe and his pig. He went out solo today to cull the herd a little more. Small world, Joe and my uncle worked together for Mesa PD in the 90's.

That would make a great movie. I was living in the region when a cowhand found the last fugitive. What this link doesn't mention is how the old Cowboy had to sue the govt for the reward money.http://www.denverpost.com/2007/06/12/bones-in-utah-canyon-idd-as-fugitive-in-1998-shooting-spree/

Thanks guys. I urge everyone to try and help out on these hunts. By nature these hunts are done with little notice due to the fact tags are often donated at the last moment. If you love to hunt, cook or just gather firewood, your help is welcomed by some vets who really earned it.

Weren't you in one of the first talking movie filmed in Arizona, too, Tim? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Sorry, friend. I'll go to time out now! I only look old. Back in the day, movies weren't starring Hollyweird lefties and commies.

I'll see your Death Wish and raise you 'Unbranded.'

Surprised to not see more John Wayne/John Ford films mentioned like 'She wore a Yellow Ribbon', filmed in Monument Valley. How to forget Rambo III? Specially when my saddle club at Luke AFB was hired on as extras portraying Mujahideen.

That's my buddy Carlton I mentored elk hunting. Glad to see him close the deal on his first big game animal.

Dirty Dingus Magee. A terrible Western. Only fun part was seeing a jet contrail in a 19th century sky.
