I hit the Lowe's on Lk Pleasant Pkwy, service is incredible. And they give vet discount 365 days a year, I only got the discounts on a few patriotic holidays at Home Depot.

I got rain. Not a gully washer but I'll take it. Cloud cover is nice too.
-
The first ripple knocks on the door. Suddenly Phoenix's north valley has a 10% chance of rain next 45 minutes..

They don't call you sparky for nothing. I bought an Italian made 120 MIG from Costco around 1986 and put it to work for my fence business building gates, kennels, wrought iron. I put hundreds of pounds of flux core through it before it went tits up 15 years later. Replaced it with another cheap mig I found at the swap meet with cart and large bottle for $150 and it's still going strong, welds up to 3/16". For a hobby welder, buy inexpensive. You're going to need $ for chopsaw, grinders, clamps etc.

I tried to get some welding done Easter morning before going to services. My cotton/nylon blend caught on fire. Normally when I catch on fire welding I can pat it out without missing a beat, but this time it got a little hot.

When they're right, it's a "science" but when they're wrong it's an "art." But WX forecasting is improving vastly thanks to technology. When I began my 1st hitch as a meteorologist stationed here in the valley, we had no satellite imagery, unreliable and inaccurate antiquated monitoring equipment and radar was a vintage air to air combat unit with a 60 mile range salvaged from a B-52. Heading out the door 7 years later we had our choice of pics from a Hughes Goes satellite.. Visual, AR, Water Vapor etc..and real time data from interlocking Doppler radars. Now I get all the WX info I need from my phone.

I'd like a leather scabbard for a scoped AR

I learned at the old Glendale airport. I think it was 1300' with power lines at both ends of the runway! yes I think around Grand Ave and El Mirage? my ex's company parked a 172 out there. Seemed like a crazy place to put an airport.

is this the rifle you wanted to trade for my pistol? If so it was manufactured 1997

Community college and aero clubs are cheap alternatives to private instruction. USAF paid for my flight school many moons ago when the new Glendale Airport opened. Take off and landings at the old Glendale Airport was not for the faint of heart.

Latest forecast shows 26% chance of rain in the Valley Thursday and 28% in Payson.

Secretariat has the track record on all three of these tracks! Quite a horse. The year that Secretariat won, the same horse came in 2nd in all three races, I believe the only time that has ever happened. Which means that the second place horse would have won the Triple Crown that year had Secretariat not been around. It's a shame two such amazing horses had to be running in the same year. Was that Sham? But look how far back Sham is in the above photo.

Justify didn't race as a two year old he's the only undefeated triple crown horse that didn't race as a two year old. Hopefully this means there's been a rule change? Or was it never a rule just a common practice? Racing two year olds is bad news physically for the horses.

If not their crystal balls what are they so busy rubbing? Warm Fronts?
-
And one of the archaic rules, the three year olds must have also had a start in a race as a two year old. And not just any race, a graded III stakes race with quality field. So breeding, conception at precisely the right time is a big part of the game. For a horse born 31 December is on paper a year older than a horse born just days or weeks later. Another wrinkle in all this is for Thoroughbred registry, the dam and sire must conceive in live cover. No AI or cloning.

Great race. But Secretariats track record of 2:24 still stands.

I use the MyRadar APP on my phone. It gives an hour SatRad loop, accurate forecasts, excellent maps and current temps wherever the phone goes. I'm currently looking at a line of light showers moving NE from the Huachuca Mtns towards St David. Looks like the traces of a monsoonal flow. Forecast wise, here in Phoenix they're predicting a spike in humidity and rain chances ocurring towards the end of Tuesday. That's as far into space this app predicts weather.

When I read the title I thought, "dang, that's my old stage name and a rather personal question."

Simple deduction; place has a power line, Tuesday is the Sushi Roll and bottle of wine special at Squid Inc, Peoria AZ, Happy Valley and Lk Pleasant Pkwy!?!?
